lol i think most of the people who had the messed up bumpers were drift cars and if so the dont ever fix it they usually just have it like that ... except for the one with the crappy paint job that was just horrible!

Or if you have a jacked up ride you just say it's a drift car Either way it's gay, I saw plenty of "Drift" cars at the 512 project show that were not hurtin' like that. I saw cars at the 512 project that I thought were not worthy that were ten times better than some of what I have seen at SS.
Luckily there was some pure sex at SS to make up for it.

There are no real excuses to not make it. I moved to Albuquerque last Monday so I could meet a friend from Dallas and drive to Irvine just for Sevenstock. My rx8 ended up breaking down 60 miles from Albuquerque, but it was well worth the entire week long car trip.

Jedi, thanks for sharing! So many great pics. Well other than the two ghetto busted veilside 8s .
Couple of questions:
Mazda displayed a turbo rx8. Any more pics of the setup? It looks like it has a RB intake. The MS front is either from Japan or they removed the plastic bar. No way it is a replica!
I noticed two cars with aftermarket UIM. I assume they are BHRs? Any details??

Honestly, if I had to make my most educated guess, Mazda was trying to quickly develop the 16X to have it as an engine option for the last year or two of the Rx8's life to tide people over for the next rotary powered car; however, with the problems in development of the 16X they now have nothing cost effective enough and more powerful to drop into it, leaving the Rx8 dead in the water, and Mazda without a rotary powered car in their lineup for at least a year since they debuted the rotary in the 1960's.

nice pix jorge.. thanks for sharing.
also, nice job on the jedi-mobile... tho, it's going to take some time for me getting used to all the changes. u, tim, and michael have changed your cars so much over the years that i no longer recognize them..

Oh, and great pics as well. I barely took any pictures of Rx8s this year other than the Speedsource cars. Out of the 150ish pictures I took this year, about fifty of them were of the Speedsource cars. Last year I took a lot more pictures of Rx8s, but there also seemed to be a lot more supercharged Rx8's on display last year as well.

Racing Beat and Mazda teamed up together in order to produce a prototype for a turbocharged or supercharged "Mazdaspeed" Rx8. It will never be mass produced as the Renesis isn't cost effective enough to be turbocharged yet remain reliable. Look at the turbocharger kits today, they are 5k+ and a lot of them blow the Renesis due to a bad tune. A Mazdaspeed Rx8 to sell well would have to remain well under 5k to be sold well, and it would take Mazda well over that price for them to make a profit. The testing on that car started even before the launch of the Rx8.

Jorge, I always enjoy seeing you and hanging with you and your lady friend. You are the coolest! Also, please (Everyone), let NYCGPS know that I asked about him all day long. Nobody knew where to find him and I was looking forward to meeting him.

There were some questions about my rims. I know they are a love/hate kind of a deal.
These are genuine Mazdaspeed rims made back in 94 for the 3rd gen rx7 by Rays engineering. They are staggered 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. They are called MS-02's as it is showed in the rim design. I got them for my FD but it was not running at the time. These rims are also the ones on the yellow FD in the initial D series.
