I posted this... Just to let all of you know, the rear rotor had zero compression, and you had to push start it for it even to start up. There is a new built 13B in that first bay, waiting to go into it as soon as this ended."

Doesn't explain the fact he is a f-ing idiot...he even destroyed the rear bumper which he was going to use! Moron. If he was about to put a new engine in it is going to take a couple hours for this one to cool down...what an idiot.

How did he keep it at that rev? Just with his foot? It wasn't bouncing off a limiter ...

Do they know that at even zero compression, it wouldn't take too to replace the seals and have a rebuilt engine. If nothing else, they could have taken it apart for fun and made a wall clock from the rotary.

the guys that made the video are from the FC forums. This video is OLD.
The engine had overheated before and was completely useless, beyond the fact that the rear rotor had no compression. Even after they did this, they can still make it a wall clock.

The engine revs were able to stay where they were because the engine didn't have the power to rev beyond 9k on 1 rotor. They just jammed it in WOT, and let it go.

didn't say that they were going to do a T2 swap and + a rebuild done by a shop is expensive like 2k you can get a brand new engine from mazda for about the same price so no real loss there.

After watching that, I'm going to replace my fire extinguisher with gatoraid.

I've seen another video with a vert that lasted about 15 minutes before it blew.

Whether the engine was about to die or not, that still is really stupid to do. If you can fix it, fix it then sell it. Hell, don't waste and break an engine because you're that stupid and you have one waiting to be put in. I could've use a rotor clock. Lol!!!

a good video also is the black fc convertible that also caught on fire.
rear rotor plus coolant seal shot why not kill the motor the way it would like to go
if I was a rotor I would of choice a 9k death to
another great one is the 3min burnout in aussie with a 3 rotor FB
why call this guy a idiot ? its his car and I see no harm as long as there on there own property and there own car of course.get over it there simple to replace and then break down for ebay clocks

No doubt. Sometimes it's just fun to let go and act silly for a minute. I used to shoot my old used-up toys with my bb gun when I was a kid, and then I'd set them on fire. I always was on our concrete slab, and had the hose handy.Hell, ppl slaughter their brain cells w/ alcohol every day, and you can't replace those. Now a liver transplant...

I retract my previous post. This isn't the same vid as the one on the FC forums.
