Living is best Modified.
So where and who was the license plate registered to?
Im all in favor of cameras at intersections, it's the need-all-be-all proof of what happened. Hard to argue against video. I'll give up my privacy to know that if something hits the fan, there's tape of it somewhere and will punish the bastages.
Did I mention i'm all for harsh punishments and cutting through red-tape with villigante justice? When people do something wrong, they deserve to get punished, even if it's on public display to add a little fear so people won't do it again.
I lived in the wrong era, or atleast I live in the wrong country. I'm a very harsh person when it comes to evil doings and punishments that should be given after.

BIG O NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooo.....
I seen the thread title and I thought "Oh damn he must of posted a video of his lil touge run he mentioned awhile back." then I see the words totaled Not the way I wanted to end my day hearing about a fellow leg humpers car being destroyed.
Talk to you insurance company and see what steps you can take or rather steps they can take since in the long run its their money they will be wanting to get back after paying you out for the totaled car plus for the medical bills which I'm sure your gonna rack up in spades. Oh and I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it but take the rest of the week off and lay the hell down my friend trust me and others who have had some bad accidents the worst pains creep up on you the day(s) after.

wow, no insurance, that blows. And now he'll be in jail and maybe loose his job, so you can't even sue him.
Well, you could sue him, and when you win your settlement, just goto one of those places that gives you a lump sum (i.e. lets you cash out) for your settlement, that way you don't have to wait for that bastard to pay the court and then you- you just get your money and wash your hands of the situation. That is what I would do.

im not sure if this is even possible but is it even legal to ask the judge to add the price of the repair/replacment of your car and your medical bills to his bail? that way the city still gets paid for what it is owed and then you get a replacment car/free medical? i dont know if this is possible/legal but it popped into my head and seemed reasonable

Oh shyt.. you may be in luck. Way some of my friends have explained it to me is that if someone lives with you and has no insurance and they get in a accident and they are at fault that your insurance will be forced to cover any and all damages and your rate will go up even though you were not the one driving the car. I know this soley 'cause one of my friends got in a accident with his dads new car (re: few days old ) and he wasnt under his dads insurance (the insurance company slacked off and didnt call him up for a simple lisence number go figure). Again call up your insurance company and ask them what can be done cause I doubt they wish to lose out having to pay you and have no recourse to get their money back.

Sorry to hear 'bout all this and I'm glad you seem to be doing okay physically. First and foremost take care of yourself; as mentioned by others these injuries can become worse days after the actual accident.
I'm hoping that these relatives will be able to settle with you instead of adding car theft to this SOBs list of charges. If they say it was "stolen" then you'd be SOL . I'll follow your thread on ForumsHawaii and if you buy it back I'd be down for the uninstall day.

***HALELUJAH***
I just got off the phone with my insurance company. They are listing the car totalled and giving me the book value of the car. They are also selling me the car back for 12% of the book value. I dont want to post the actual numbers but essentially its GREAT!!!! I can easily buy another RX8 for less than what im getting, and im getting to keep my car which not only means all the mods but... spare motor, tranny, rear diff, etc etc.......
On top of that.. im still gonna go after the other cars registered owner for my injuries.. if we ever locate who his insurance is.
I'm gonna go get my car from the tow-yard tonight. Uninstall Party coming very soon (as soon as my neck gets back to normal).

Again call up your insurance company and ask them what can be done cause I doubt they wish to lose out having to pay you and have no recourse to get their money back.
This means he will have to pay his full deductible, and his own insurance company will fix his car (as long as it is fixable). If it is a total loss, which is extremely difficult to do as these cars hold their retail around $15,000 - $20,000 (that is a TON of damage needed to total it out), then they will pay him the total amount minus his deductible.
What the insurance company will then attempt to do, but most likely fail, is go after the party at fault. If the insurance company is successful and gets its money back, his deductible will be returned. If not, the insurance company keeps his deductible. Most likely they will not be able to get any of their money back, though, as it's almost impossible to collect from an individual.
If he doesn't have Collision insurance, though, then he's **** out of luck. Hope that's not the case on his part.
To the OP, I am an auto insurance adjuster for a very large insurance company. If you have any questions, please PM me and I'd be happy to answer them for you.
