That was my idea-eliminate the black and add some silver. Looks better IMO.

Bought the shift **** from Autozone for $20. Was to long so I cut about an inch from the bottom, drilled a deep hole almost to the top and threaded it. Brushed it, put a RX-8 logo and some clear coat. Turns out great.

That's the RB exhaust. The tips are melting the paint but I'll put some high temp silver coat. Already got a good coat of ceramic heat shield on the bumper around the tips.
BTW I installed and painted the body kit myself. Cost me $300 for the paint. I was quoted $3000 for sides molding . The paint matches very well. Who said VR is hard to match . That was my first time doing body work.

your car is awesome

I love how you used the veilside gt skirts with the v1 one kit
I love that v1 kit but others have had problems with the exhaust melting the paint

I like V1 front and rear but not the skirts. D1-GT looks better. This combo makes the car look not so aggressive.
Tein H-Tech are coming in tuesday. Now making some rotary emblems to replace the OEM flying mazda ones. Will post some pics when get at least one ready.
Haven't decided for rims yet.

looks very nice . the red on silver is very impressive. The only other place to add more silver would be on the mirrors

Thinking about it. Haven't decided VR or silver yet. Also thinking about silver door handles. Will they look good?

Yes, it is. With blue glowing LEDs matching the instrument cluster.

Got THIS and cut it, put some clear coat and edged it with a weatherstrip and black silicone for better look.

who painted the body kit? was it done with factory matched VR paint and then a 2 step clear? Looks like it was done with gloss red spray paint.

Any picks of close up on the body kit, like the front lip?

I painted it. The paint is a PPG brand from paintscrach.com and it is matched by VIN. I haven't polished the clear yet. It has a flex added and that's why looks a little different. I painted the eyelids and the strakes with the same paint and after a good polishing with 2000 sandpaper and rubbing compound they are perfect. So no worries about that.
