I ran out of paint so I'll probably do this others this week. I'm doing the fuse box cover and the ECU cover, the letters and the squilly on the REVi. I'll post again when it's all done.

Mikeb - I'm still working on the hood. I'm really glad you posted the pics of yours. Since our 8s look very similar, it gives me an idea of how the hood would look on mine. I really, really like the KS vented hood, but I'm completely sold on the CF. If it was available in fiberglass or another material that was cheaper, I'd get it and paint it red. But I don't want to paint the CF since it defeats the purpose... and it's a lot of money.

Thanks for the compliments. I used high-temp (1200 degrees) spray paint. My intention was to use this paint as a base coat, use the 4 bottles of touch up paint I've acquired to go over, and then a clear coat on top. It took a few coats to get the base red even and once it dried, I really liked the turn out so I nixed the V/R coat. I'd like to go back and put a gloss on it though so it shines like the car.

No, I can't make it to SevenStock this year. I wish I could though. Does the CF look "weird" in person? I really like the color of the car and I don't want the hood to take away from it. Does anyone ever ask why you didn't paint it red?
