Car looks nice even with the crome gas cap it looks good with the strakes

 

not a fan of black rims on yellow, nor the chrome lid, other that yellow rocks!

 

Since there are so many other black elements on this car I beg to differ on your black rims on yellow statement. But you are correct that Yellow Rocks !

The gas lid is not chrome. It's the JDM polished aluminum one.
It looks good - don't listen to these naysayers.

Just a few rejoinders...

I can't go darker with the tint and stay legal in Melbourne - most of the time it looks much darker than in these pics, so that's cool.

You're right Tamas, it's the alu fuel cap. One possibility is to paint the inner bit the body colour (yellow) and leave the alu ring - that's been done on the two Mazda Australia turbo mules (red and black body colours), and looks great IMHO.

Also I'd never put gold or bronze wheels on my car, just as I'd never wear a gold necklace or wristband. I happen to like the black+polished rims a lot. Still, there's no accounting for taste!
