It's like when i can 3 wires hook up, the light cannot be turn on at any moment.
but but when i hook only 2 of them, it works either on daytime running mode or brake mode.
not sure what is the problem.
Thank you again.
Ok, when you have it working with just 2 wires, what wires are you using, blue and black of the RAL harness? In this case, hook those two to the running lights (black/red) and (black) ..... the third wire will go to the (black/yellow) wire.

The way you describe the behavior of your light sounds like the harness may have been modified since it sounds almost backward. Try connecting the (blue + gray wires) when connected to running lights and see if it gets brighter when you connect the two. We'll get this figured out!

Hey guys I'm sorry to hear about some of these issues you are having. I think I've got some form of communication with everyone but if I'm missing anyone that needs help please email lebren@gmail.com and I'll do my best to walk you through it. The work instruction has evolved, and so is the product design so that it becomes easier and better.

Warmest,

RAL Rev 2 Update

Hey guys, I have some disappointing news to share. The latest RAL design was intended so that the light comes on with the Running lights and gets brighter with the Brake lights. Unfortunately due to the inherent safety of the circuit, the RAL protects itself when the brake circuit is applied. I apologize to those of you who purchased the RAL who wanted the light to get brighter with brakes, the RAL will still function with twice the brightness as the original RAL on either of the Brake light circuit or the Running light circuit. I'm still working to see if there's a way to restore the two circuit function but it could take a while.

If I haven't already contacted you how to set this up please email lebren@gmail.com so that I can help you properly set up the wiring. For those interested in purchasing the RAL, it will ship with just 2 wires but come already set to be twice the brightness as the original RAL on the circuit desired.

Warm regards,
Eren DuPee

Would anyone be interested in a flasher circuit - Switch between Solid on and flashing (adjustable) for your Rotor Accent Light?

Just met up with Eren aka "Lebren" in Ventura County yesterday, really cool guy. Here's a photo of my blood red rotary accent light that I installed yesterday.

Looks and fits great, installation excluding the drying process of the silicone only took about 40 minutes. Great work Eren, this stuff is definitely quality!

Rest assured, you will receive your light very soon! As mentioned in an email it is burning in for 48 hours, a standard to make sure your light lasts for years and years. You will LOVE your RAL, I promise!!!

^ totally normal. Mine was kinda like yours. I lined it up the best I could and applied more silicon to where there were gaps so water can't get through.

Fog Light + Lebren v2

For those who have done the fog light rewire which allows the fogs to come on without the headlights being on:

Lebren black --> ground
Lebren grey --> yellow/black (brake lights)
Lebren blue --> blue/black of a front fog light

This allows the fog lights to be used as DRLs with the Lebren coming on as well.
With the fogs off or on, the brake light function of the Lebren still works.
Nifty effect!

The wire from trunk to the front fog is pretty easy along the driver's side of the car. Removing the rear sear bottom and the conduit cover on the door sill is enough access. Stick the wire through the firewall where the hood release cable goes. Remove wheel and the front of the wheel well splash shield to access the fog light wires from their rear side.

Hey guys i've searched briefly, emailed Lebrenn with the email above and even posted on the facebook page and have not heard back from him. All i'm needing is a copy of the instructions. Can you guys pm or send it to my email.

Quick question too: I bought a new 8 and it has the fog light rewire that allows the fogs to come on independent of the running lights and headlights, will this cause a problem with the accent light working correctly?

Also i noticed my Accent light does not have a grey wire and i'm assuming this is an older model, is that correct?

So I did this install about a week ago, got the silicone line as thin as I could to make sure this would all fit flush into the housing on the bumper. It didn't, the bottom of the light attached to the accent was lined up but the top was not sticking out about a quarter inch.

So I just got more silicone to try this again and separated the light from the accent., Before I started the silicone process again I just checked to see how the aluminum accent piece fit alone, and it didn't. Had the same gap like the light was still on there. How did I buy a aluminum accent piece that doesn't fit? Anyone else have issues like this?

So the top line is flush, but the walls on the sides are not close until the bottom of the accent piece.

Potentially stupid question here, but does the light require the stainless steel rotor accent to properly seat, or can I use it without the accent? From the pictures it appears that everyone who has it installed also has the little rotor accent as well.

Thanks.

My guess would be that while you don't NEED to have it to install the light, it probably looks much cleaner with it, as it will hide the nasty-ish edges where the light meets the plastic.

You could always put it on and if you don't like it add the accent.

Also I think you have talked me into doing this one instead...

I would say yes you need it. You actually glue it or should I say apply silicon behind that steel rotor accent and then stick it onto the car. I guess you can find a way to put it on the car without the steel accent but my bet would be that it would look horrible since all that silicon would be visible and not hidden like if you actually did have one. It would make life soooo much easier if you had it too lol

^ yes you do need it. Without the accent it really isnt possible to mount it onto the bumper. The silicone is placed onto the accent to make sure water doesn't get through to the circuitry on the rear of the ral. Thats why u have to put silicone on the inside of the bumper as well, where the wire passes through, to keep water from getting in from that hole as well.
