I can only imagine... because my rear rotor is losing compression, she sits in the garage for long periods of time. I want to do more to my MS6 but the 8 is going first, every time i do drive the 8, i fall in love with her again and again and can't wait to see her get up and running blasting around at 8k rpm's..

Well folks, it's been a long time coming, but I'm going to be selling my beautiful Roxy... Over 2 years ago she was in an accident, and ever since then, I've lost a lot of interest in her. She's been sitting in my garage ever since (except when she was having a paint job, due to hail damage in 2013!).
I'll probably get around to putting up a FS thread in the new year. But for now, I thought I'd post the last pic I have of Roxy, just after her paint job. The full MS body kit is now on (minus the spoiler). I still have many parts that I was intending to install, but due to a hectic schedule and general lack of interest, this is all she'll be getting.
Currently installed:
Full MS body kit
Enkei RP03 18x9.5 +38
AFE shifter with Voodoo shift ****
BHR ignition
COBB Tuner
MS CAI, front strut bar/ oil cap
Other odds and ends...
Planned to install (will be included with the car):
Borla Catback
Lo-Tek trip gauge pod
Prosport EVO oil/ water temp and fuel pressure.
PowerTrix Coilovers
Tein hood dampers
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Ingalls "stiffy" torque damper
Sohn MOP adapter with (GReddy?) tank
Metra kit with Pioneer setup.
Much more...
It's been a great 5.5 years, but I just can't bear to see her sitting alone and neglected any longer. I was hoping that I'd find the interest again, but it hasn't happened as of yet. Perhaps after the winter and the smell of spring is in the air I'll be reminded of how much love and devotion I once had for her. Until then, happy rotaring and feel free to enjoy the memories with me

Beautiful paint job.
I wouldn't let go until after spring comes.
You never know when that feeling will come back.
If you do choose to move on, enjoy all that life has to offer. The best advice i can give is to enjoy the little things.
It may seem odd now, or it may make sense. Take it for what you will.

This is a day of sadness, but long expected...
I'm going to be putting my car up for sale. I haven't really enjoyed her for 3 years now. I still put time and effort into keeping her in tip-top shape, but it wasn't enough.
The Story
In the summer of 2012, some lady attempted to run a read light during rush hour. Luckily i was going slow when I t-boned her, and only damaged the bumper, hood, some curb rash on the wheels and passenger fender. I ensured that the shop took good care of her and double ensured that they did everything proper. Needless to say, they had my car for 6 whole moths, because I was dissatisfied with the work they initially put into it... But that headache took it's toll, and the difficulty of tracking down an authentic Mazdaspeed kit was nearing impossible (I would except no less for my Roxy!).
A year later when I had all but given up, I reached out to member "Kane", and as it happened, he was wanting to swap parts! The whole process was a headache of sorts (shipping issues), but we both got what we wanted! And for weeks, I was happy again.
But there were still a few issues which the body shop hadn't taken care of yet. And when I finally got the new MS parts in for some minor repairs (which they agreed to do, due to the hassel I had from last time), they left it outside and that night was a storm. Que the HAIL!!! It wasn't bad, but I'm a perfectionist, and the principle wasn't lost on me. I told the shop to store it indoors overnights. They failed. Ergo, the car was once again in for repairs, however I endeavoured to find a shop that wouldn't take may car for granted. It took a year (fall/ winter/ spring), but I finally had my car repaired by a quality shop that did an outstanding job! But again, I didn't get to enjoy the car, as I was away.
Fast forward to Spring 2015. I took the car out of hibernation, changed out her fluids, cleaned her up and drove her to Winnipeg. Then I set up a temporary storage in my parents' yard and she's been holding firm ever since. I just don't have the time to drive her anymore. Furthermore, I live down 15km's of dirt road, and the thought of damaging the paint gives me nightmares!
And so I've decided that she needs to go. Hopefully to someone who will treat her right! I'd prefer to sell locally (so that I can still keep an eye on her ). I'm going to put her up for sale here, in case the deal falls through.
Thanks for sharing this experience with me. I was hoping to keep Roxy forever and turn her into a dedicated weekend warrior, but I don't see that happening. I hope someone with the same passion as me will take her into a loving environment!
Best of luck to everyone here! I'll pop in from time to time to relive the RX8 through others peoples experience!

If the car doesn't sell by fall, she'll go back into the garage and perhaps I'll install the parts I'd intended to long ago...

Hiii i haven't been on here since i got my car almost two years ago.
Do you have any suggestions where in winnipeg to do a trade in?
I have driven my rx8 for 7 months out of the total 22 months i've had it. I've put her in storage in the winter both years despite having brand new winter tires *used one winter when i bought the car and buying a new battery last september. i just got back from China and i plan on going abroad again soon, so i want to get a car that is easy to maintain b/c i have a very little knowledge about this car. Any suggestions would be appreciated. She has 143kms on her.
