thanks. I would post a sound clip but i don't have the required equipment yet. I may get a video of it on here eventually. I'm not sure how the sound quality will be though. Don't hold me to that any time soon however.

Cool

Here are a few more pictures that were taken earlier today. I will post any more requested pictures in the next couple of days. I hope it brings you as much joy looking at it as it does me driving it.

since you keep talking about the lotus, do you like it more than your rx-8?

I contemplated trading in my 8 for a 111R earlier this year...... but the missus wouldn't let me.

If you really enjoy your driving, the Lotus is the ultimate affordable road car..... the thing handles like a go kart.

Nah. I personally would take the RX-8 over it any day. I love being able to have 4 people in the car and a good amount of trunk space. I have a sub in the back and it sounds awesome. But the trunk in the lotus is small. Its bigger then i thought it would be but it is still very small. I am sure that no one on here really wants to hear about my RX-8 though because besides the sub they probably have everything i have and more. The RX-8 is much more comfortable also and thats a pretty big deal to me. My brother cares more about speed so he got the lotus. But you have to admit. It is one damn cool looking car. I am jealous but at the same time not really. Besides. I get tires for life (that was the deal i got for buying a new car. i don't know if anyone else has that) so i could burn out any time i want too. His tires cost $1200.

Free tires for life?? I didn't get that deal. I did get the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty for free, though. Not sure, between our deals, which one will pay off more in the long run. Still look forward to seeing the Lotus next weekend when I'm in Athens! That and cruising through UGA in our 8's, of course

The Lotus and the 8 make the Z look a bit bloated and clunky.

I love the interior shot of the Elise!

Holy S#%T Mark. I just realized how cool that would be for all of us to just cruze through downtown Athens. Everyone would be looking. Haha. We should do that. he gets the attention and we just carry everyone that wants to go for a ride back to our house and have one kick *** party. Anyone near Athens is more then welcome. There will be more pictures probably tomorrow but here are a few to tide you over. Do you think this thread makes people want to be my friend?

Don't know how much it is in the States, but here in Australia, entry level is $75K AUD, not bad considering a loaded RX8 is $63K and an S2K is $77K.

Actually the Elise was only $46000. Not that that isn't a lot of money but this thing competes with Ferraris (if thats how you spell it) and i'm not just talking about looks. And yes is is a targa top. You have to unscrew it so it is more of a seasonal thing. We havn't taken it off yet since it is getting cold. And i will post more interior shots if i can get them tomorrow.

^this is so true. that damn little car is so fast and agile you have to see it to believe it. it is in its own class compered with the other two... even the 120hp and 160hp ones (not shipped to the US) are very fast.

I lived in the UK for 3 years. I've seen so many Lotuses, these cars are in their own kind. even the 340R:
500kg, 170hp --> 340hp-to-ton -->named 340R!! I still remember the way it sounded, that thing could run 0-60 in about 4 secs all day:o

The last SPEED magazine with the Supercharge WHite RX-8 in it has a test between the Lotus and a Viper on a race track. Pretty interesting read, they call it the David VS Goliath road test, I thought the Elise would win it but it didn't. Pretty close though.

I like the Elise but I wish they didn't put the Toyota engine in it in North American version.

Very nice cars. Love the house too. I suppose you keep the Ferrari and the Lambo in the garage?

That blue Lotus makesme cream my pants. AllI have to sayabout that is -- youd have to be one repulsive sonof a bitch to not get any w/that car (or maybe just married). I hate to admit it but while the Rx8 is a beauty - I think the Lotus clearly out classes it in looks. Then again -- its also 15000 more.

cool cars.

the rx-8 realy needs a rear difuser section like the lotus. get rid of the East-West muffler and fit twin centre exit exhausts like the lotus.

Great pics - I especially wanted to thank you for NOT posting any picks of the Escalade! :p My suggestion for next new car in your family - dump the Escalade ASAP, and buy a CAR, not a TRUCK, to replace it! :D

Hah. I wish. This is my dads house. I am just another one of those poor college students with a nice car that daddy paid for. But the archway goes to the garage and a place to park a couple of cars in he back. In the last picture of my car, the garage is below a bedroom where the archway leads to. i know this is a car forum but if you want pictures of the house i can give you that also.
