Mazda Car Cover

It was late, and it seemed that Summer has left the Pacific Northwest, so I decided to snap a few photos of my car cover... to get ready for fall... It fits pretty snug, but covers very nicely.

Any thoughts? Likes or Dislikes?

I have te same cover myself. Really good at protecting the car from the elements and keeping it clean during rainfall.

One thing to keep in mind is that the cover is a VERY tight fit, especially if you have the appearance package, and if you have a Mazdaspeed body kit, it may not fit at all. It definitely fits the car, but takes some tugging to get it on and is snug as it can get. Helps in windy conditions though since nothing can blow it off the car. I would just recommend making sure that the car is clean when putting the cover on so aas to avois scratching the finish..

Does anyone know if that cover will fit over the stock spoiler? (no appearance pkg.)

Not sure, but it looks like it would. It is more snug in the front than in the back.

I like my evolution car cover better. It is softer, more breathable, and not quite as tight. Carcoverworld.com sells them for about 175 with a lock and cable.

How do you like that evolution cover? Is it this same one that lists for $133 on their site?

I like the way your cover looks, but when i saw the price i didn't check that option box. I found a custom cover made by Wolf that isn't so snug and fits perfectly for under $100.

Watch out with the Mazda cover. It gets dirty easily... and I'm talking about the undercover that's next to the car.

Definitely. I have the appearance package as well as the stock spoiler on my 8, and the cover fits, so without the appearance package, it will fit just as well, if not better...

So how do you think this cover would react with snow? Can anyone recommend a good brand for snow/ice protection?

So is mine - for the most part. I did realize one weekend while in Palm Springs, CA I had the cover on at night (she was outside). It blew like snot that night. The next morning, my car was midly dusty and the inside of the cover was "dirty" as well.

From the the looks of the material, it should stand up pretty well to the snow. I intend to use it for the entire winter myself. The tight fit should also help to keep it from blowing off, even without the cable lock...

Car cover at the office It's been hot here, as much of the West is now. I roll the windows down, put a cup of water in the cup holder, then wrap the 8 in it's blanket. The car is nice and cool when I unwrap it after work. :p
