"American Bodyshop" is actually set in a real place here in Phoenix, though they shoot it in LA.
I think the real place is called "Family Customs" in Chandler (they mention that they are in Chandler in the show). Its only 7 miles from my house.
The guy that created the show lived really close to here.

he said that since Ti Gray is too close in color to the CURSED Silver that for safety reasons they cannot put his car in the magazine.

BTW-Modified wants to feature my RX-8 once I get the Wilwood brakes all settled. Fidanza is also supplying a clutch and lightweight flywheel so I'll have to get that installed for a tech story too before the story can fly. Gah! Project cars are never done!

Ooooo, yeah, dents are a deal-breaker I'm afraid. I'll be over in Phoenix around Christmas so call a dent removal company ASAP and have them worked out.

Pretty simple, really.
1) Have an immaculate car and keep it that way all the time - no exceptions.
2) Don't modify anything until you have a plan and only modify things if they fit into that plan.
3) Make every modification as cohesive and natural as possible.
4) Be as highly visible at public events as possible.
5) Be honest, outgoing and assertive at said events and meet as many people in the "industry" as you can.
Can't hurt to have friends like Eric, though! Really, he has been a great resource from the first day I met him, and not just for publicity.
