You know, in studying that picture a little bit, you can see that wherever this picture came from, it wasn't in the U.S. It seems like the rest of the world (except maybe Britain) is a little behind as far as fads go. And when a fad from America hits other countries, they usually hit harder....And when they reach Germany.....watchout!! We all know what happened with Hasselhoff. While spinners are out here, they might just be reaching other countries. It IS a travesty though that an owner of an RX8 would do such a thing, regardless of the location. But again, I'm just talking out of my ****.

you gotta admit though, someone put a lot of time and effort into that, i wonder how it sounds, who's ever car that is, it's gonna win some contests, and hope he has bullet proof glass, cause dang, that glass is not gonna hold up when the sound is really lound, can we say, lots and lots of dyno mat!!!

It's great as a show car and will draw the attention of kids everywhere I'm sure, but for what purpose? I wish I had 1/3 of the money they spent in rims and stereo to invest in my baby! Nice install, but this goes wayyyyy beyond smart/practical. IMO of course.

I like the effort they put into the car, and imo i think it's a great show car, but what is the purpose for all the speakers, it must sound great, if the owner of the car comes by, not unless it's owned by you phillip, how many decibels does it put out, probably off the scale right? All in all, great car, atleast you chose an 8 and great install, might i add in, since you've invested some money into it, why not get a body kit for it, to make the car look even better then what it is, not necessary though.

Um, no. Give me that car and a GT35/40R. I think the speakers alone will cover the price for what I'm really going to turn it into.

Not my car mate.. I use to have two fifteens in my lancer about 5 years ago but i started going deff ![Wink](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I use to love car audio elements and nice clean installs when i was younger.. Use to install a few stereo's with fibreglass too but i found it took to much time off my weekends.
Now with this car i dont know anything about the brand of subs called DUB. But from what i can tell (from website) they are dual voice coil so you could possibly hook them up the right way to drop the ohms way down and the power way up.. If they are using good amps like Zapco (which is the secret weapon for any car audio build that will win db contests) im guessing this car would hit a nice 141dbs.
Anything over 140 db has to be double the amount to increase in dbs. e.g 141 would have to be like the db of 141*2

Well, that just goes to show you that quality and quantity are two very different things. Its rather funny to see everyone here say that the system must have been 5k to install. Mine will be 4x as much, but won't basterdize the car. I'll still have a trunk, I'll still have my rear seats, and heck, I'll even be able to stand listening to the stereo without giving myself a headache, or someone 10 miles away. I just have one question...WHY? I mean really, I don't want to hear you coming 5 miles down the road, and I really don't want to think there's an earthquake happening when you pull up next to me....WHY?

At least he got some real spinners and not the cheap "pop on" plastic type. IMO:
Spinners are tollerable on SUVs and Caddies.
Oh, and P.S. Did anyone notice the picture of this 7?
I love that paint job...

As a toy or hobby, it has its place. There's a certain aesthetic in taking something to the extreme. So I have no ill will towards the owner, assuming he/she does not go around town with it cranked up so that one can hear the baseline 3 blocks over, inside the house with the doors and windows closed. I know it's unlikely, but it is possible for such a thing to be done with restraint and in a way that doesn't disrespect the people around you.

Personally I'm not crazy about the rims, BUT the ICE is off the f*@king hook! OMG! ICE is the last thing I do to a car cause I am more into show and go, but your car makes me want to add ICE now....I am lost for words - unbelievable. HOT!!!
