MX Sportif concept

No Mazda3 at Geneva, but there is the concept car to show how the Mazda3 hatchback will look like. Very sporty looks and so not boring!

Offcourse the Mazda3 won't have those bumpers, grille and such

That is a beautiful small car. Mazda looks like it's got another winner on its hands.

at the toronto autoshow they brought out the mx sport runabout.

Interestingly enough, I was asked to fill out a survey on what I though of the runabout. (And they paid me $10 bucks, woohoo).

P.S. I don't know if it's just me... but don't those rims look familiar

I believe that the Mazda3 is known as the Demio in Japan. It's a sub-compact that isn't marketed in North America. It looks pretty hot though. Imagine that thing with a de-tuned Renesis making ~150hp!

Mazda1??? Mazda3 as Demio in Japan??? You're intrest in Mazda stops with the RX-8 right..?

MX Sport Runabout was a concept car for the Mazda2 (mini-MPV; still called Demio in Japan).

MX Sportif is a concept car for the Mazda3 (new Protege/323)

MX Sportourer was a concept car for the Mazda6

Mazda4 = new Premacy (midi-MPV)
Mazda8 = new MPV

That Mazda looks nice. Sadly, due to the recent 2 feet of snow we got here in DC, I was rudely reminded that I need at minimum an AWD vehicle for daily driving purposes. If the Mazda comes with an AWD option, I would consider it as a much cheaper option (~20K) than my current considerations: Evo, STi, MS6 (30-35K).

I like the bumpers, grille and fender flairs - looks very nice at the rear - I hope Mazda comes through with most of this styling on the "real thing"!

Having a fleet of geat looking cars that handle good too, is something of a smart direction that Mazda should go with ...

Please!

The problem is not the once every 6-7 year major snow we get, the problem is my driveway. VERY STEEP decline towards the house. This is my first winter in my new home and if there's as little as a couple of inches of snow on the ground, nobody with anything less than AWD will be able to get out. My wife and I have had to help a few delivery guys (delivering stuff to our neighbors which we share the driveway) either by pushing or towing them out with our ML430.

This and that we get at least some snow every winter, I resigned myself that my next daily driver must be at least AWD. Now, this doesn't mean that my RX-7 replacement has to be AWD as well. Buying AWD has also gotten much more interesting with affordable cars like the Evo, STi, R32, and MS6

Currently, during light snows, I will park my 626 in front of the house. Though we have a very wide shoulder off the road in front of the house, it's still a little disconcerning considering cars regular fly down my road at over 50MPH.

there are many WRX's(non-sti) sitting on the lots arund here. i counted at least 12 yesterday at the one i pass on the way to work. you could save yourself some money and get one of those. they seem to be discounting them big time here, blowing them out to make room.

I'm a bit of a power junky. Anything less than what my RX-7 can perform would be disappointing. Though I love my 626, this is the one and only reason why I would even considering trading it in for something else. I don't even have a problem with the FWD in the snow. Like I said, I would just park it along the road instead of the gargage. So, if I'm going to eat the depreciation on the 626, it damn well have a lot of power or potential.

I like the WRX. I like the fact that it comes in a wagon as well, but I think it's worth it to me to fork out an additional $5-10K for a factory 300HP/300lbs-ft car compared to 227HP from the WRX. Heck, a STi would be able to wear the hat of a daily driver and a track car.
