My 2004 RX-8, new mods, Seibon carbon fiber hood
Hey guys, just installed a SEIBON carbonfiber hood, wondering what you guys are thinking of the overall car. I'm deploying to Iraq in a month and just put her in my parents garage in Texas, so I can't take any new pics for about 6 months, so sorry for the lack of pics of the motor, rear lights, etc.
Here is my mod list so far :
AEM CAI
GREDDY SP2 EXHAUST
STREETGLOW UNDERBODY NEONS (RED)
SEIBON CARBON FIBER HOOD
DARK SPRAY TINT ON TAIL LIGHTS AND SIDE MARKERS
DIAMOND STEEL FLOOR MATS
GARMIN GPS
CORBEAU RACING HARNESS ON DRIVERS SEAT
Thats pretty much so far. Here are some pics of my work so far
And wish me luck for my 2nd trip to the desert. See you all soon!

At times, yes. I've become use to them, though. I ordered them off of Ebay. They are complete Diamond Steel, no matting. They look great though, people constantly comment on them and my hood more than anything on the car. The rims are powder coated grey to match the Titanium Grey color of the car. Thanks for the compliment!

Car looks really clean. I was wondering if I could post pictures of your car on carbonfiberhoods.net. If so, do you have any good front end pictures with the hood installed?

Honestly, i don't think that's the hood. That looks like an installation issue. If you look at the rear, it's jacked up too. I think the hood wasn't adjusted at installation. The front receiver probably needs to be loosened and lowered.

I don't see any carbon fiber hoods that have been painted to match, yet some sites say painting them is OK. Does paint not hold up well on them or does everyone just like the carbon fiber look or what? My 8 is Lightening Yellow and I am looking at the same hood as philipchan. I just want to paint it to match. I'm not crazy about the carbon fiber look. I like the styling of the hood though.

Not sure about all of them but I know all of the hoods on carbonfiberhoods.net can be painted. I would assume almost any carbon hood could be painted easily.
