Mazda sucks at distinguishing special editions for the RX-8 in the states. They did the same thing with the original Shinka...no special number plates or anything even though they only made 1250ish....

Mine 40th AE didn't come with build # on the sill's, but it did come with the spoiler. However, I have seen them without as well. I don't know why some got them and others didn't.

Check inside your owners manual .. mine were just stickers hiding in my owners handbook .. had to stick them on my self.

That's something I'll have to look into. Being in the states, I figured I was just as screwed as everybody else, but if you're right I'm gonna be really happy.
