My blue calipers & hubs.... errr purple?
Picture doesn't really show it... but they are more of a blue-purplish color. Looks like crap next to the winning blue. Used G2... I'm disappointed. =( My wife says that I'm just being picky.....

Did mine yesterday in blue, here's some shots for comparison on a Ti-gray car.
I just like the blue over the red on this color of car.
Clear side markers are on the UPS truck! Can't wait till they get here!

Okay... so maybe I am just being too picky. Look the same on film.
I went and took a closer look.... I think the problem is my hubs. There have a more gloss look to them because the surface is smoother. I think that's making them look purplish, and in turn its just blending w/ the calipers.
I think I'll redo the hubs black... and that should make everything better. I'm getting white rims later (so no silver hub).

I used Dupli-color. It's only rated at 500 degrees, but I haven't even found my brake pedal yet anyways!
If you look close, you will see that my dust shields are painted black and I just put on new rotors where the hub(or hat) is black, so I thought that would look good. And while it's kinda subtle, I used Polak graphics to get the Mazdaspeed.

Interesting...............like I did just write, my hubs are black because of the RacingBrake rotors, and I did paint the dust shields black as well. Also my wheels have a more blacken color on the inner surfaces( the inside of the spokes if you will). These pics look close and I wonder if it's just not the lighting or the slight color differences in the rims? BTW.......... I don't think yours look purple.

I can see what you mean. It would upset me too. This is why I won't paint my calipers blue--unless I can get a perfect color match, and I don't want to keep repainting the calipers until I find paint that matches OK. I recall reading that the G2 Blue color was very "mute", almost "baby blue," so that ruled out G2 Blue for me for sure.
Let us know how it looks after repainting the rotors black. I fear is that you will still see the discrepancy.
I used to have a Laser Blue Mazda, and I painted my calipers with Duplicolor paint. The calipers had a fainter blue, not as deep, so it didn't look perfect to me. After that experience, I decided against trying to colormatch calipers.

I would agree with that. It's just too hard to match. If I had a WB, I probably would have gone with Black. I'm not sure, but I don't think the Silver would work on a WB either?
