Do you guys actually think that they will be able to fix it to the point where I won't be able to feel that the car has been hit...I'm refering to the rear axle ofcourse...all my friends tell me that the car will never be the same

Cant you get reimbursed from the other guys insurance for the loss of value of the car? Also, why would you even report it to your insurance? Let his insurance deal with fixing the car, getting you a rental, etc. I was in an accident a few months ago (very minor compared to yours) and i never told my insurance anything.....i shouldn't have to.

Sorry to hear about your car. As long as there was no frame damage, they should be able to fix everything very well. Unless you race your 8 and drive it to its extreme limits, you will not probably notice a difference.

Not a suggestion, just telling what others might do in your situation...
"All of sudden, you get a spasm in your neck, your arm starts to twitch, and you have trouble walking. Your back's in pain and your joints lock up. Suddenly you find yourself immobilized and you have to take time off from work or school. Who's going to pay your bills? Who's going to feed you? "You could be like this for weeks",... according to your best friend's doctor."
See where this is going?

I had my old car totalled about a year ago (in NJ) and my insurance didnt go up, even with the stupid "no fault" insurance. I think that it helped that the other driver got charged with reckless driving to prove that I was not at fault at all. If you have something like this you can show that to both insurance companies and the other will have to cover all expenses, and your company will just say, "that sucks" and not do anything more. However, it did take over a month before I got any money because the police dept was so backed up they didnt' get the report out for 3 weeks

Once everything is fixed it should feel like its still brand new 8. This happened to my old car, I got rear ended. But I didnt feel anything less to my car.

CO is a no fault state also, unless the other person gets a ticket for reckless driving or some crap his insurance will go up. Just being involved in an accident will cause the insurance to rise in a "no fault" state. I got rear ended in my old maxima, totaled the car, obviously was not my fault and my insurance went up. No fault states suck big time. Sorry to hear about your new 8, if it was my i dont know that I would be able to contain myself from beating the snot out of the guy
