My custom single exit exhaust
#4
it sounds amazing. it has a deep throaty sound and you can hear the popping sounds and high revs. i had the RX-7 in mind when i did it. i'm sure it'll get louder when i install my test pipe. i got pics on my profile album

well, props for doing something custom - its your car and if you like it; like the sound; like the look then keep it. I would like to hear it...
I think most people just don't like the big-*** muffler in there and oversized tip... It does look like its pulled right off a civic or neon or something.
I always liked 2 big exhaust tips peaking out the back of the 8. AP's look best in my opinion. I think Exoticspeed is too blue...
I don't understand a single outlet unless its way more powerful or just for racing applications like the HKS. But that's why my car still has 2!

As the '04s get cheaper, we're going to see more of this. Younger people buying the car and doing things to be like fast and furious and need for speed stuff.
I'm in between that (25, bought my car last spring from the first owner) Sure a lot of us don't want to see the car with huge fart cans out the back or neons or stickers or whatever other mod you want to determine as "ricer" (because really its a fine line)
On the plus side... the more people that have these cars and want to mod them, perhaps it'll put more pressure on aftermarket manufacturers to make more parts for the car. For example, the Metra radio installation kit. I'm sure they looked at the used car market and realized that there are going to be a flood of younger people buying this car and putting subs in as opposed to an older car buyer that was happy with the stock set-up and could afford the 30k pricetag for a new one.
WAYYY off topic, sorry.
Fart Can - teehee!

Damn! i didnt think i was gonna get flamed like this. I was just postin pics of my new setup. it was something different, alot less restriction than the stock exhaust and sounds great. i know alot appreciate the OEM look and all, and so do i, but i was lookin for a more custom style than what everyone else has. as far as "Rice", my entire car will remain OEM but, except for suspension, as far the exhaust, i wanted more flow and i do like the single exit muffler.
