Damn! i didnt think i was gonna get flamed like this. I was just postin pics of my new setup. it was something different, alot less restriction than the stock exhaust and sounds great. i know alot appreciate the OEM look and all, and so do i, but i was lookin for a more custom style than what everyone else has. as far as "Rice", my entire car will remain OEM but, except for suspension, as far the exhaust, i wanted more flow and i do like the single exit muffler.
but, when I first looked at it I wondered the same thing dkxhak mentioned. keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesn't damage the shroud.

Nope. when i did it i made sure there was half an inch all the way around the muffler. it doesnt touch the shroud at all. I'll post up a vid as soon as i can. as far as being flamed, i really could care less. i've had the car since '04 and drove it stock this whole time. i bought the car, not for the power, but for the smoothness of the ride, handling, performance and style. I've always had a passion for the FD. i test drove a bunch of cars before deciding on the RX-8. Evo's, STI's, Audi and the S2000. The 8 blew me away driving it around the mountains. i didn't want the same exhaust as everyone else. i wanted something different and efficiant.

If you are going to be a grammar/spelling/saying ****, at least make sure your post has proper grammar, capitalization, spelling, etc.

Please don't compare this to an HKS Hi-Power.. and I don't even mind the single look, makes the car look more balanced since dual pipes ae for V motors and are actually more "RICE" than that fart can...

this wasnt a "what do you guys think?" thread. i was just posting some pics of how i did my exhaust. it's something different from what everybody else has and i like the way it sounds. whether you feel it's rice or what not, it sounds great to me and i really dont feel that it's "Rice". I've seen RX-8's with pointless body kits, wings, decals and such, and nobody says crap about that. i simply throw on a muffler that allows waay more exhaust to go through and i get flamed.

I don't get why people put single exhause on a car with dual exhaust cutouts in rear bumper. Reminds me of those gay hondas with single exhausts with a body kit that has two exhausts cutouts. To eachs own I guess.

Like I said before: I like the twin tipped look... you went a different direction and like the single tip look. You paid for the car, you have to live with it.
But seriously, you made something custom... if no one ever wants to be flamed on here... don't post and leave your car stock.

hmm subscribed for sound clip, on the side note I did a weld on straight though magnaflow muffler powder coated black some raspiness but overall nice....after a while it was too loud to it was scrapped.
