My first MotoGP podium at Laguna Seca!

C'mon people, I think just sat at the interview station and had his picture taken, unless his name is Nicky Haden, which it's not, and he forgot all his sponsor stickers and patches, which he didn't :p
Cool pic though, I want one!

its about time nikki hayden won a gp race. i still remember all the hype surrounding him when he first switched over. but in all honestly, if rossi or any other non-american riders had more track time, the race would have been different.

The MotoGP was one of the worst driving experiences of my life.
We made it to Ford Ord and the racetrack entry road in just over two hours. My buddy Danny zipped up to the track on his bike, and was seated by 10. I got into the line of cars going into the park. To cover the three miles from the entrance to the parking lot took me ... three hours.
There was only one line of cars feeding all the dirt lots. We just sat there for hour after hour after hour. I was going to turn around and join my wife and kids at the beach in nearby Capitola, but Danny urged me (by cell phone, from the track) to stick it out. And I did.
I finally got seated, in the dusty dirt, by 12:30 or so. Watched the race from turn 2, and it was not exciting to me since I had no clue. Back in my car at 3 PM. Got in the line again.
Three hours later, Danny was back in SF, my wife and kids were home in the Central Valley, and I ... was still in the parking lot. I had moved maybe 100 feet. I finally went off-roading and cut into line toward the front. The cars in the line where I'd been were still there.
4 and a half hours after leaving the race, with three and a half of them spent in the parking lot, I got back on the highway, then stopped for dinner and gassed up, then drove home, seeing double.
"Left" the track at 3. Home by 11:30 PM.
I just called the track to complain. Among my remarks were "whoever organized that event should be not only fired, but imprisoned." The poor receptionist took my name and number and address. I will be following up on this, for all the good it will do.
Part of her courteous reply was "your call was not the first."
I bet it wasn't.

The truth is Renee and I were looking for our suite and went into the wrong building. She wouldn’t take a picture so we went walking around and had to walk by the building again. I begged her to go back and take the shot!
We drove a RZ500 in at 7:45 in the morning on both days and left before the trophys were given out. We were parked a stone thorw from our seats at turn four! It took us five minutes to get to the road.
