I might just have to think up a way to achieve that look for my car. Anyway nice R/C, love the color

New RX-8 body by Kawagoe
For those looking for another 1/10th RC RX-8 body, I've found one made by Kawagoe. Don't actually know if it's sold in the states yet. Gonna go hunt for it next time I'm back in Japan.
It is made to look like the R-Magic RX-8 wide body kit, with the R-Magic front spoiler, rear bumper/diffuser, and vented hood.

That is fantastic! I've been looking to get into RC, mainly so I can satisfy my RX-8 daydreams. I found the 190mm RX-8 body from HPI, but what chassis/engine/actual car did you use?
Peace

The Yokomo Drift cars are loads of fun, you really have to counter steer to get the drifting right. http://www.yokomousa.com/

Yah, I recently got into nitro R/C and it is crazy fun. I've been looking everywhere for an FC body, but these Yokomo kits are a little out of my price range. You can buy a decent used nitro R/C car (already built) off eBay for under $200 and it'll come with everything you need. I bought both of mine used for pretty cheap, because they had problems, and just fixed them up. Now they run like champs and saved me a bit of money.

But there are tons of different chassis & motors out there. Tamiya, HPI, Kyosho, Team Associated are other popular brands, and they have kits that the 190mm body will fit on. I'm not really that into RC racing/drifting, so I can't say which is the best one. I just enjoy making the bodies and blasting around an open lot.
MoRotorMotor - Yokomo has a new tire now that has one wide plastic ring instead of the two thin rings on their original tires. I'm using the new tire, so hopefully it will last longer. I have the old tires too and they haven't worn out yet. But there's a large open basket ball court that has pretty smooth concrete that I use to drift, so it's easy on the tires. (But you guys are just smarter than I am for using PVC rings to get the same affect. )

You can also try using electrical vinyl tape and get a similar effect as rings or pvc piping. So no need to glue, just tape up the ends and when you want to use your tires for grip instead of drift, just remove the tape.

I bought mine from www.ultimatehobbies.com for just a little more than that.
You can also just buy the Yokomo FC body separately if you've got a chassis already.
