Well, had some more help and input this weekend. Basically the trick to getting this in when you have the RB intake is to gently shove it into place. We had the accordion and maf tube together and hooked the edge of the accordion on first, then gently shoved the maf tube down since the portion of the RB intake that connects to the maf is a little flexible. It'll fold the edge of the box portion down, but you can gently wedge it out with a flat-head screwdriver.

Unfortunately, the shop that refills nitrous is closed on saturdays and sundays... so I have to wait.

Well, I tried what you said and it still wasn't quite going. If I understood what you were describing, you were recommending having the blue maf tube connected to the airbox and the accordion being the only/last piece out. What ended up working was having the accordion and maf tube out and together before trying to get them in. I was being too cautious with the connection part of the airbox because it houses the screen and I didn't want to break it.

Another thing that I think helped was temperature. The weather was a lot warmer today and the engine was still warm so everything was a little more flexible. The elbow joints that go into the accordion were amazingly easy compared to when I was trying to get them out last weekend.

"gentle persuasion" is an over time acquired art form that is often overlooked. Need to know when you can use it and when you can't.

Yah know, this thread brings up a good point though: Why DOESN'T BHR make a bottle opener? Cuz that's totally what I thought the picture was of until reading down

Also, BHR's customer support FTW, and I haven't even bought anything from them

One thing experience teaches is where to apply the "muscle" or when we can become a little more brutal with our approaches and not break anything in the process. I am sure you discovered this.

Thanks for the update.
Yeah, that's basically what it was. I was too worried about damaging the screen to try and push down but with help I was able to see the angle better and could tell the screen would be fine. I was basically focusing on compressing the thing too much than alternative ways to make it fall into place. It might not be the best way for everyone because I can easily see it damaging the screen if something went wrong.

I'm guessing I wont notice a performance difference, but still looking forward to trying it out once I get my tank filled.

You can also get it filled at Nelson I think.

Unless it's a lot cheaper there, it probably isn't worth it... that's on the other side of town basically.

It's $45.00 to refill a 10lb bottle I believe. there is another place on Marbach that does it too, I'll call them when they open.

Eh, might have been better to drive out there but oh well. Alamo performance apparently upped their prices cause it was like $63 after tax. I'll try that place next time or at least call to confirm pricing.

Anyways, I got the bottle filled and hooked up...

nitrous + BHR spacer + HKS single = ridiculously huge flames. I actually felt the heat off of one when I had my windows down. I'm going to have my g/f or someone from SARX record it for sure. It feels a bit better with the spacer I think... it could be in my head and it has been a long time since I've used nitrous so who knows. I'm definitely happy now that it's in. I'm pretty sure it pulls harder than before.

It should be way better man. The way the accordion was there had to be a bit of leakage.

I was only able to find one place when I first filled it and it was like $50. I was thinking of selling the kit sometime soon but I think I might enjoy at least a few more fills before that happens.

I'm tempted to get the jets for a 65 shot but not sure if it's worth the chance.

Yes nitrous is very addicting Been there done that, luckily it my a friends Stang GT that suffered the results of, "oh lets try these jets and see what happens"

But when it was all said and done a 04' GT auto was running 12.9's on a dry kit all night long.

Here's a quick video I got my g/f to do, though the lighting wasn't the best... This happens any time I'm revving high and shift with nitrous on... had one guy tell me my car was on fire for a second. I'd imagine it's much more impressive looking than in the video so I'll try to get someone in SARX to help with a better clip.
