This isn't entirely true. While it is not yet proven on the Renesis, increasing port size on a rotary usually decreases power down low, while having more power available up high. For instance, a stock NA 13B in a 7 will usually run out of power around it's factory redline, or a little bit before. (7000rpm for S4, 8000rpm for S5). However, a bridgeported NA 13B will not show peak power until 7000rpm+, and will not run out of air until well past 10,000rpm.
My whole point has been since the intake ports on the 8 are larger than the 7s... will making them larger be beneficial. Its not like our current intake ports are significanly smaller in relation to exhaust ports as was the issues on the 7.
Renesis * (More Air In + Equal Air Out) = WHY?

Well, in automotive applications, the intake(s) is always bigger than the exhaust(s)..this is true on all rotaries, including RX7's (and RX8's), and (as far as I know) all piston engines. You will always see the intake valves being bigger than the exhaust valves.
Even on the RX7's, the intake ports made up a larger volume than the exhaust ports. It may not look like it, but with the sleeve in place on the exhaust, it really isn't as big as it looks.
Not to mention, most people don't count this in, but there are four or six intake ports, not just two like for the exhaust. Both the four and six port motors have a larger combined intake volume than exhaust.
But honestly, as you and I have repeated..there is no real way to prove a benefit from porting. No one is going to go through all the hassle to prove an increase in power to people on the internet
So what it comes down to, as I said before, is feel. The feeling of a ported motor is drastically different from a non-ported motor. The difference in turbo lag, especially on something as large as a GT40 or 42 is HUUUGGGGEEE
But, as you've said, that sounds a lot like butt-dyno...so

Can I have your opinion with the AFR readings? 10.5 – 11.5 with tuners Sard and mechanics innovate meters from the downpipe and 12 – 13 at the dyno from the exhaust, is it logical according the sensor location or dynamometers afr meter is scrap?
And something else, did anybody else tried to relocate the airinx to make the suction pipe shorter and straight?
I do that today

The only problem I see with moving the intake to that spot is you are now getting absolutely no direct flow of outside air. I would imagine your intake temps would sky rocket after that move, and while you will have (marginally, if any at all) less turbo lag, you will have a decrease in overall power.
You should think about getting the Mazsport cold-air intake for the Greddy turbo kit, or maybe make your own.

I wanted to try this because I think that with Varis vents and Mazdaspeed front bumper openings the air flow is much better than stock where Greddy designed.
After all the air travels through the intercooler.
I can easily reverse that process if I see no gain but I should try it.

Question about your Turbo Kit
Hey man I just purchased an Rx8 and also a Greddy Turbo Kit not too long ago. I'm wondering how much it cost you to install yours in and where did you do it? I'm from NJ but I'm currently in Iraq and I've been having a hard time trying to find somewhere online to take my Rx8 once back in a month. Also another question, did you get new headers for yours? I was told to change my headers but I haven't had any luck finding DC ceramic sports headers online the 3 piece ones. Can you help me at all? Thanks.

Headers even for the RX-8 in NA don't do much either...

As far as "a lot straighter", look at the route from filter to turbo:
What you propose will make your intake temps go up and give you nothing back in return.

just come to Athens its no big deal, right under Acropolis rock, ask for Kostas!!
Actually I have, 2 of them
1 OBDScan+can from Harrison R&D (that never worked properly for me)
2 AutoEnginuity Scan Tool that is permanently connected (carputer)
I see no differences at all to intake temps.
True, maybe its time to relocate this too…somewhere away…hmm at the trunk?
