My Resignation of being an RX-8 Owner
this is in memory of my 2004 RX-8 which was traded a few weeks a go to a local dealership with 157,000km on the odo
i would like to thank Mazda Canada for covering pretty much all the repair bills providing me with excellent service including rentals for each time it was in for a warranty repair
this car had amazing handling, it was the extremely fun to drive on a twisty back road, i met some of the most interesting people and met some nice girls along the way but it was finally time to change vehicles to something a bit more practical and something with a bit more torque
although this car was extremely fun to drive this car was not suited for everyday driving in my canadian climate especially our harsh winters... reliability was just not there and the amount of gas burned was bothersome
me and my girlfriend will miss you as a great drive.
the new vehicle is extremely well equipped but now has two turbochargers with three times the amount of torque and all wheel drive to keep me unstuck during the winter months all of this with better gas mileage as a bonus
a big thank you to this site for helping me in resolving problems or finding upgrades

335xi or 535xi... Perhaps the new 750 xdrive, x6 or x5 with a twin turbo v8. No way its the cayanne turbo because it has the same if not worse gas mileage as an rx8.

Sweet report and life experiance. Yea man the torque is still a trip even my 84 GS I sold a few months back had more kick in the low band. And that was 100 hp.... The series 2 they changed the gear ratio so I hear it feels better right off.

no clue how he knew but he's right
kind of weird being the youngest person (26) to own this car but it really won me over
kind of a list of what i wanted:
the GTR is out of my range and the warranty wouldn't like me... next an EVO doesn't even have a good warranty to begin with (plus the mitsubishi dealers around here are garbage)
i really dislike BMW 335i's and the 135i is just too overpriced for what it is here in canada
subaru turned ugly and i really miss my 02 WRX
a C63 was too much on maintenance... i really wanted the new CTS-V but the nearest place with one for sale was at least 4 hours away and i didn't want to drive 4 hours to see if i would like it or not after test driving it
