My Rotary Start Button!!Finally!!

After 4 months i got my Mazda Rotary Start Button through mazdaparts.com...
I have to say its beautifull..

It came with many many wires and converters and its actual position is in the coin case beside(RHS in Japan) the steering wheel. ...

Well i didn't like that position cause you can barely see it in a left side steering wheel car so i made some custom jobs and installed it in the dash..

Well i could't install in right in the center cause it had some serious backup after the button so its left the center...

The only problem i haven't fixed yet,it doesn'e light much in the night...Anyhow i ll fix it...

So here 2 pics...Press the thumbnails to see the actual size pics...(I made this to load the thread site faster)

So how do you start it? Place key in and turn to on and then hold down clutch and hit the start button or did you bypass the clutch and key and you can just push start. (I don't think this is possible last time I checked, but maybe someone did it like remote start)

I'll agree, "The Rotary Start Button is sweet"... Over Priced but, I still like them.
Why? Why? Why didn't you center the button?
aNd... Whats the deal with your ashtray lid?
I understand the need for individuality but the factory lid is more attractive and fits into the "aesthetic flow".
My opinion, to be taken with a grain of salt.... its your ride and I respect your efforts.

I likw the idea of a start button as alot of manufacturers are using them in thier higher end products. I really like the Mercedes where all you have to do is have the key in your pocket and press the button.

I do have to ask is there a reason why it is not centered?

Front & centered.....

I connected mine after the clutch, so the key needs to be in, and on, but I can start it without being seated/foot on clutch.

Mine isn't the Mazda, but had no problem with centering it.

Well i don't have any gear in.I have it in neutral and i just turn the key to on and then push start...Not pressing any of the pedals...

Well this thing is long and it couldn't get centered...The bose 6cd changer hits it if we have it in center...Anyhow...More show-offs to come!! :D

Well the button couldn't be centered cause it has a big plaquete from the back of the dash which could only be placed left the center....

Custom Emanage map 5 September and then only the bodykit left...Rims next summer(Probably Andrew Racing Evo 5 Dark Chrome 3D from Veilside)

Why not here? Guess it is a little too far over but it certainly looks better.

I can't use the shifter for my start button. That's where I have the trigger for the mini guns....

What is the point in having a start button if you still have to put the key in the switch and turn it on. The only practial application of this is how the new Vette works. No key switch - the car automatically reads the key fob in your pocket.
