I for one am a big supporter of the "to each his own" mentality when it comes to modding your auto and then showing it in here. I've seen a number of fellow RX8 drivers in this forum with mods that aren't my cup of tea, but I still tip my hat at them and say, "hey it doesn't really matter what I think or what others think in this forum - if you love it then that is all that matters." But after seeing this "dual intake" mod using PVC, I don't even have the heart to say that. There are just so many things that is wrong about this mod. I'm sorry.

Heads $25 each

PVC $10
isn't that $60?

I just did it to mess around still a little new to moding the rx8 just got it. Had an scion tc before. I put the stock back on with out the side blockers and got the K&N filter. Im saving for turbo. It sounded kool though louder then just a single head.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to "Search" or if that fails, ask somebody. We're actually a nice bunch of people on here.

I actually thought the concept was OK except for the fact that it was inside the engine bay . Many of us still remember the early type 1 K&N filter that did that - it was proven after a while that it actually lost power .
Anyway - you have taken all the ribbing well . Welcome to the club

You should've bought this! Great intake for its cheap price and you won't have to worry about heat soak so much since it's a CAI.

wow so many haters today! seriously, it was a great attempt to get a nice sounding intake for very cheap. i do think tho that if you got the racing beat air duct, and converted your tubes for wrapped metal ones, you would have yourself a nice sounding "custom" and functional intake. np bro...we are actually nice people like said above. however there are 12-15 guys here who like to boost their ego from time to time.

im not really sure how an intake makes power. overall it is just a tube with a very thin sponge at the end lol. i bought mine for looks in the engine bay and sound. i didn't expect a noticeable change
