Great video 3rotor. The sounds were great. I had seen them in
person several times as well as snaped a photo of one on the freeway, but the low speed footage with sound is awesome!
BTW I tried to get some photos from Port Hueneme yesterday.
The Mazda facility is inside the military base and we drove all
around and could not see any cars close enough to photo.
Talked to MP at the gate but he would not let us in.

Had to take down my FTP server temporarily due to network problems caused by heavy load... I need to upgrade the kernel and get traffic control and bandwidth management... this should be in place by tomorrow, and I'll bring it back up...
Whoever just downloaded the TechHighlights.iso over 16 hours and 42 minutes... I was actually waiting for you to finish before shutting the server off!..

My FTP server is back up now, so come see if you can break it again...
Interesting problem, my cable modem has a big buffer and obviously my broadband isn't as fast as ethernet so the FTP server was sending at warp speed until the buffer on the cable modem was full... hence any other connection like me browsing had to wait for the entire buffer to flush every time it wanted to send a packet... mind you, whoever was downloading got good performance, just everything else sucked.
It's at:-
ftp://rx8:mazda@ftp.fsck.co.uk/rx8offload.wmv
There are a lot of other files there, but please concider uploading some stuff as well if you have somthing unusual... (incoming dir)...

I have a 4.2 MB file (2 1/2 miuntes) of raw uncut footage of our cars being off loaded at the Port of Tacoma today. If you can host this somewhere on the net let me know and I'll get the file to you. [/QUOTE
I downloaded this file to my PowerBook G4. Can you tell me how to view the .wmv file? It won't load to QuickTime Player or RealOne Player and I can't seem to import it directly to the iMovie software? Any ideas?

You may be out of luck. .wmv is Windows Media Video - a Micro$oft proprietary format. You'll likely need to find a third-party tool to convert it to quicktime or mpeg.

offload footage
Thanks for the confirmation of the .wmv file type origin. I found a Windows Media Player for OSX as a free download and can now view the footage. I saw a lot of red and blue but the shot of the titanium was worth the wait. Thanks for the preview. I hope it's only days before mine finally gets to the dealer.
