New Arrivals... VSR Rims from EBAY!
Here are the new arrivals to my 8. These are the cheap VSR Anima's from ebay I had started a thread about a bit ago. Only paid $350 for them... I'm using them as my back-ups for weather purposes, but I couldn't wait to get them on to see how they'd look. I haven't gotten around to washing my car withing the past 2 weeks, but plan on it tomorrow or as soon as I get the time on a nice sunny day... They are also sending me new centers to put on the wheels (as to why they are completely chrome in the middle). They will be black with the company's emblem.
The second pic is of my custom badges on the trunk. Those are my initials before the 8 and I cut the Mazda emblem to elimiante the outer ring... I switched sides for the "PJM8" & "Mazda".
Feel free to give your two cents....(& yes, clear corners are coming soon.)

I dont really know if I dig the cut flying-M, but the rest looks pretty nice. $350 for those rims aint bad... you can tell theyre not very high quality, but for a set of backups they look nice and will do the trick! Good buy!

they are 18"s... I thought that when I first took a look at the pics as well... it's just the way the black with polished lips look compared to all alloy...

You guys are all entitled to your own opinion... I asked for it by posting pics and asking feedback...
The "M" emblem is only temporary, I just wanted to see what it was like with this and I can easily purchase a new Mazda Circle Emblem... & Yes please remember that these were $350 and suited to be my weather wheels... I'm not going to drop $1500 or so on wheels when I don't have that $$ to throw around right now... I've kept my stock alloy wheels which I still love... I just wanted something new...
I will post new shots once everything is washed and shiny... I'll try and get some night shots, day shots, and action shots to do it more justice...

But as for the mods... I was thinking either lowering it, putting a kit on it, or both is gonig to make it look better than just stock with rims..
with time, will come beauty...

please tell me you cut off the studs on the mazda emblem... i'd hate to hear that you drilled more holes in the trunk to do that...
all and all, it's a different look. something that most may not even notice.

He's parked outside of the student housing up at Penn State.
I would say that the rims are a bit mis-matched for the car. At the price you got them for, yeah they're a good deal, but they detract from the look that you paid $25-30k to achieve. Personally, even as winter rims, I wouldn't put those on my car. As with fart mufflers, Turbonators, and giant MAZDA decals, there are some things that seem like a good buy, but you have to hold yourself back sometimes.
As far as the emblems go, I think it would look a lot nicer if you stripped off the flying M and the "mazda" emblem and kept just your initials.
