karstman, i checked out that guys website, it seems pretty cool but i would be affraid that it wouldn't come out as good as i imagined. and 255 bucks to pay for tint that i can't tweak as its being made seems a bit risky. if i knew exactly what i wanted then it would be awesome. But it sure does look like he does a good job at tint and stuff.

shakey - i'm not sure which lines you are referring to but they do change at the 2 leds on the corner to follow the contour of the strakes inside.

i was going to tell you to make some eye lids but it looks like you already have some they dont look bad, i would have rather have seen them being black on a black car but its all good. you should make some vinyl eye lids though those would sell.

I like it.
It changes the rear appearance just enough to be different.

Not sure if it would work on most other colors . . . but I think it looks good. And it is still legal

dmp - i'm 27 for the record. And I don't really subscribe to the diff is good theory...I just don't really like the stock tails and i'm sort of "frosting" out my car exterior so I thought it would look good. I'm thinking of having the center black section of the rear bumper painted sunlight silver and leaving the exhaust shrouds factory black.

For the people that think it's autozone and walmart - IMO the stocks look so cheap and look like a 16yr old ricer's tails...anyway any thoughts on the rear black section being painted?

yeah it looks good painted. many people have done it here. but make sure to find a way to make the mesh part of the back bumper seem real. even tho its not. look for pictures of people that have done it, some look good, and others look bad

I think those taillights frikkin rock man, totally change that lexus light style the 8's have goin on. but i do agree with what someone said about it only really suiting silver, would look lame on my bb.

Not a fan myself.......largely because the RX8 has swoopy curvey lines and your tails have a hard straight line......seems like something that might fit better on the bigger Scion model than an RX8.

But hey........I admire the creativity, and for what you wanted to do, it appears that you pulled it off.
