New here with new rims :)

Hi everybody,

Just joined your community and I think it's good to start posting a few pictures of my baby with brand new Work rims

The rims are Work Emotion XD9 (8x18 ET35 front and 9x18 ET38 rear) with Bridgestone Re050.
I also have K&W Variant 3 coilovers (I don't know if you know this german manifacturer), Remus Exhaust, Mazdaspeed rear wing, eyelids and fully debagded (front and rear)

Sorry for my English, I come from Switerland

Very nice.

I didn't know Remus made an exhaust for the 8 - is that a complete catback or just a muffler with tips? How does it sound, is it loud?

Nothing wrong with your English... in fact it seems to be better than many of the people who post here with English as their first (and only) language

Yes, it is available since mars 2006. It is just a muffler with inox tips. IT IS NOT LOUD AT ALL!!!! But the sound is getting better with time. Racing Beat is definately louder than Remus.

Before Remus I bought a Hymee exhaust and it was much better and much louder...but I think you already know that I sold it because...the short story is that Hymee is not street legal and Remus is.

Below a few pictures of the Remus exhaust...

Not feeling the white rim's here, but the rest of your 8 is tight looking i like the remus exhaust that's really cool. Nice ride.

Interesting - now I noticed that you got the flat black rear bumper part painted to body color. I think it looks good - was that expensive to get it done? I suppose they had to sand it smooth and prep it well before painting. How does the paint hold up?

Maybe I should do that with my titanium grey... I'll see.

I like that debadged trunk as well.

In regards to the rims.. i think they are great looking rims, but don't really match the look of your car. I would suggest a more agressive body kit, that might work.

I spent more or less 350-400$ for the job (the complete rear bumper has been repainted) and the paint hold up fine, but be careful around the exhaust tips. With Hymee, Racing Beat and stock exhaust there are absolutely no issue, but it is a different story with the Remus. 3 days after installing it, the paint started getting off
I am going to install mazda exhaust finishers to save the situation...but as you can see in the photos, you don't really notice it..you have to look really close to see something

Yes, it is painted!

Next, I think I am going to paint the stock side mirrors to match the body color.

Looking good white on blue. Get a pic of them wheels spinning on your 8. That would be cool!

I have the same feeling...probably,in a few months, the Racing Beat will be certified as street legal here in Switzerland and, if so, I will buy it immediately

Stock exhaust -> Hymee -> Remus -> Racing Beat
