New installed PC680 odyssey batter!

Here are some pics of my newly installed PC680 Drycell odyssey battery. This thing weighs 14 lbs and is TINY, with more than OEM standards. There is SO much more room in the engine bay without that big *** battery box. Im gonna make a shield for the radiator fans soon.

let me know what you think!

Wires ran:

Mock up:

not me.. dont drive in the rain or weather and it stays in the garage. Washer fluid is useless... notice the first pic that was just turned into a catch can mount :P

no unfortunately it doesnt come with terminals or the casing, the case was like 25 off ebay for a "dyna pack" battery. and the terminals are actually brass L brackets that i bent at an angle to make the cable look clean and fit under the case.

Thanks for the props!

Yea i have to make some spacers behind the insulation because the firewall is not straight.. its not mounted yet just wedged but its not going anywhere.

you have any ideas how to mount it where the old battery tray is, closer and lower to the ECU box?

One easier and possible better solution than removing the box entirely is to just put the PC680 back in the same box thereby being able to use the oem short cables, same cooling function the box gives (with cover on). For the small PC680 you need to raise it up to be able to attach the battery cables correctly so a simple piece of wood underneath did the trick. Also the oem battery clamp is made for a wide battery so I juryrigged a rubber one I bought at Autozone with a metal brace piece so as to hold the battery firmly.

Something else shown is a battery heat shield of hi-temp material like used for shielding from exhaust heat to try to keep heat soak to a minimum. The idea came from this commercial one shown below which was a bag type, I simple custom fit mine for added shielding.

BTW I used to have the PC680 where the washer fluid was, but really didn't see the point of the extra cables & box when this way lightens the battery area what like 20 lbs anyway.
