Thumbs up New Member, some first shots and the First mod...

Well Just picked up the 8 on the 24 of Feb, been browsing the threads for a while. I was a member of a Mercury Cougar club for 4 years before someone decided to run a red light and total that car for me. It was good though because I bought the car back from the Ins company and sold everything down to the carpet off of the car and that helped with the down payment. And now I have a Winning Blue RX-8 6 speed with Navigation, Grand Touring package, spoiler.

The first mod is the RX-8 club.com side stickers thanks to PolakGraphics as well as the Rear brake light decal.
I also installed a Viper 791xv Alarm.

Planned mods:
This weekend
Painted Calipers - Blue

Next weekend
Zaino (just got the kit this week)

Future
Strakes
Front Billet Grill
System (this one will be very near future, I have 2 10" MTX subs and a 500 W amp from my cougar)

Defnitly more than a little more fun hahahaha. My Cougar only had a 4cyl with about 120 HP, bought the car before I was into cars this much. So the difference in Power is definitly worth the price being double. But I got the car for less than the Kelly Blue Book Invoice Price. So all is definitly GOOD!!!!

I got NADA retail value for my car because the Airbags went off, that was $8700, then I had to pay my deductable $500, then bought the car back for $600, paid off the note of $6000 leaves me roughly $1200, sold all the parts on my car for nearly $3000. Left me with a heaft down payment, to lessen the blow of the HUGE monthly payments. By the way I have State Farm, and I would tell anyone to GET STATEFARM they take care of you, I had my money in less than a week!!!!!!!!!!

Glad To Know You Were No Hurt

WelCome to the Club and Glad To Know You Were No Hurt.

I have GEICO and I have to say that I am very happy with them. I had an accident with my other Mazda in September and I had the money in about 30 minutes. They have treated me well.

Nice Winning Blue.

Hola! New member here...currently in the same Cougar club mentioned by Grim. Saw his new 8 last week and decided i had to have one.

Put a deposit down for the dealer to find the one i want so shouldnt be too long now that i'll be up and running in a new Black RX-8.

Ill have to have some of those stickers ASAP!! (adds horsepower right?? haha)

Not only that, but if they really get into the car scene, central FL is a great spot to do it since there's a good sized rotary club and lots of racing events. Enjoy!

Glad to see you on the list. I too am a previous cougar owner, but after seeing the RX-8, I just had to have it. I shed a tear or 2 giving up my cougar, but I know know that is was worth the switch.
