New Mod..New Floor Mats....What do you think?
Well here is my newest mod, I have a friend that made these floormats for me, I know him from the Mercury Cougar Club that I was in before I got in the accident and got my new 8. I got these to see if everyone on here likes them. Tell me what you think...

you can do tap dancing in the car!!!
I suggest to get some faint art in it - like either the RX-8 logo or MazdaSpeed logo... I don't mean painting but something like the glossy glass appearance. Don't ask me how to do it though coz I have no idea.
You have to have something RX-8 inorder to sell it good.

I thought of adding some painted logo on there, they looked really good in the cougars and I wasn't sure how they would look in the 8, thats exactly why I didn't buy them just traded for them.
I was just cleaning the car thats why the boot is up like that....

I will update my avatar when I am ready. You don't have to tell me in every post that I make.
They are pretty much wieghtless and no the don't scratch easy, the point of them is to attracht attention to the car in shows, etc...they aren't really for everyday driving.

BG,
I think they look good. I've seen them (or something similar) on ebay and considered them. But the driver foot well pad seems to be considerbily smaller coving less area. Is that correct? in any case, they look good.

Interesting looking. But they look out of place though, might help with some accent peices, such as the matching door sill trim plates. Or center consol trim peices.
But it does look cool.

The only thing I'd suggest is some kind of edge treatment. As it is the edges seem to look a little raw and it emphasises the thinness of the material.

i was in said Mercury cougar club and a few of the cougars had them. i think they go better with the cougar which is more of a "muscle car" than the 8 is. went better in those than the 8 i think. plus the inside of the cougar had some hard metal that it kinda matched...the 8 is all smoother....
but for shows, it attracts a little attention, which never hurts...might get a couple extra points. and for free?? cant beat that
mikeb....who cares what his avatar is?

I wouldn't mind having a small patch of diamond plate inlaid into the stock floormat right where my heels are wearing out the carpet... maybe 8" x 6" or so.
