Just bought an RX-8 yesterday. I've been eying them since they came out, and now I can't believe I'm sitting behind the wheel of one. My first car was an '87 RX-7, so its nice to come back home. My new baby is a 2004 Grand Touring in Titanium Gray. For all you owners of other colors, much love, but the Ti Gray is incredible. I'm loving the looks I'm getting...reminds me of high school in the 7. This site is awesome, such a wealth of info. Here's a couple pics.

No mods planned at the moment. I'm so thrilled with things as they are, I couldn't imagine changing a thing. I would like to get my iPod into the head unit without having to use my iTrip FM transmitter. I would welcome any suggestions.

Extraordinary Engineering
Use the OEM IPOD adaptor or one of the other adaptors. There's a DIY for it.
Just search around a bit. Check signatures for other mods. Once you start you can't stop.

Welcome. Ti Gray is my personal fav too, I started lusting over it when the RX-7 Spirit R came out in Japan in 2002. Now I've got an RX-8 in that color!
I highly recomend getting the AudioLink iPod adapter, it's better (IMO) than the OEM unit because you retain manual control of the iPod when not in playlist mode (in case your wife wants to DJ on the way to the beach, my girlfriend sure loves to). The RPM store really takes care of their customers too, they just replaced my whole unit free of charge after more than a year (starting to get a short in the wire at the iPod connector, probably from the girlfriend DJing too much). You can find more info in the following thread:

If you do decide to go with it, remember: use the coupon code "RX8MP3" at checkout to receive your discount!

Typical The two-tones make it look sporty and this is a sports car. Mine is biege and black. I think the red and black looks sooo much more agressive.

Agree, the T G in two tone interior kicks ***. I have the ipod connector and it makes a world of difference. The quality of the music is much better. Congrats and welcome.
