Wow, I love that color, and I hope they discontinue my Nordic Green I love the green, cloudy day is a nice deep color, sunny day the flakes really come out nice. Less of them the better imo.

On the other hand, they are useful: the water spray has a lot of pressure and cleans the mud on the headlamp for good, when its raining. I PREFER that than "a drunk guy at the stop light spitting" on my 8

They spray the first time you use the windscreen washers (on each ignition cycle), so if you stop and start the engine between sprays, then spray again it will do the lights again.

Also if you double pull on the stalk, they will spray the lights too!

I didn't like the mess they made of the wheel arches, nice streaks up and over the arches as you drive along.

When I replaced the bumper with the INGs, I didn't move the washers over to the new bumper - would have meant cutting holes in the INGs - AAGGH!

So I disconnected the water pipe and removed the fuse from the fuse box in the engine - same goes for the fog lights - removed the fuse - need to see about a custom mounting bracket to get the fog lights back on.

I like headlight washers are a neat novelty that I like--here they serve very little purpose--my mom's SLK has them, but they are actuated via a separate button. On the Mercedes they high pressure water is heated as well.

PMSL! Its quite a powerful jet, now theres a thought!

Follow it up with a dab at the breaks and the tail gater will see a sea of red in his windscreen!

thanks for the info, I didn't know that "first spray" on each ingition cycle. so it was just my impression. to tell the truth ,yeah, I noticed the second/third time they don't come up. I guess they will come up on the fifth, but I haven't used the washer so many times on the row...

but why do people complain about messing the car? personally, I use the washers when the windshield/headlights are dirty, after bad weather, when the car is already messed up... or when its raining slightly and the water evaporates too fast.

i found that driving at night in the summer would show up the mess on the windscreen, but the rest of the car (being grey) still looked clean, so spraying the window and hence the lights/wings left streaks over the wheel arches.

also, if anti-freeze type bottles always say to avoid contact with paintwork (ok so the stuff in the washer bottle is well diluted) over time this can't be good for modern water based paints...

I see... you're probably right. I'll try to avoid using them at night when the headlights are on.
thanks again.
