New tips for the stock exhaust
Today I got new tips for my stock exhaust.
I always disliked the smallish tips the car came with from the factory. Plus, my stock tips were welded on unevenly, so that one side stuck out more than the other - WTF is up with that?
So I decided that even though I don't want to replace the entire exhaust, new tips would be nice to have. I just like the quiet stock muffler and you don't gain much (if anything) with an aftermarket cat-back system anyway.
I bought some double-walled Magnaflow 35121 tips ($72 for the pair, delivered to my door) and got them welded onto the stock pipes.
Came out pretty good I think. Here are some pics:

Thanks for the kind words, folks
I didn't do it - a muffler shop did. The guy welded the tip from the inside. First, he removed the stock muffler and cut off the tips, then slightly enlarged the 2" pipe to fit into the 2.25" tip inlet. Then he put the muffler back on the car, adjusted it and welded on the tips, reaching into the tip from the rear.
It was $80 for the labor (not cheap), but this is California after all, everything is expensive :D

I think I may know what one of my next mods will be (thanks Tamas). I want rolled edges though. I can't believe I didn't think of just adding tips. I was not a big fan of spending $600+ just for a sound, besides, I like the stock exhaust sound. Not loud, but just right.

THE stock exhaust with or whitout the larger tips sounds like a frightened mouse
One of the best mods is a great sounding exhaust , which gives the car the badly needed voice and ***** it is also great for safety as with an aftermarket exhaust you can be heard as well AS seen hopefully avoiding an accident . :D
Tamas yes they lookbetter than stock but you cannot beat the real thing

no... but for those who want a little more sound you can always use the b&b race pipe with the stock exhaust wich is what i have. also most of the power gain on a complete exhaust system comes from removing the cat: not the replacing the back end of the exhaust system.
