Nordic Green RX-8
#51
Hey, CGRX8 thanks for the pictures of the wheels, I like the style and the (looks to me like) gunmetal? color. Thye probably don't show the brake dust as badly as the stock aluminum finished wheels either and that's got to be a good thing! I wish I had the spare cash for that kind of mod, but I'll probably go with suspension tweaks next.
The engine bay painting looks good too. Certainly relieves the monotonous black of the stock engine. I'd like to get the alloy Mazdaspeed strut brace, but it's not available yet in LHD form.
One thing I think would look good on the NG is to paint the fender vents aluminum (or in your case CGRX8 the same color as your wheels). I regret not doing this before I installed the strakes because removing them and the double sided tape doesn't look that easy. I think it would look stunning. The black vents against the dark green paint doesn't stand out as well as it does on a silver or titanium car. It's such a neat design feature that it's a shame not to show it off. Perhaps I'll risk the strake removal. I'm like tertou, not much into apperance mods, but the clear corners and strakes look sweet. I've also wondered about painting the lower part of the door mirrors aluminum, but I'd have to photochop that first to see what it would look like. Could be too much of a good thing.
