I really like the painted. Alas too much salt here for a nice painted floor.

Yea, between the salt/lime, and all the work I do in the garage I'd tear that nice floor up quick.

The moisture obviously isn't present during middle of winter time. It occurs because of the transition from fall to winter and then warming up your tools and other metal objects exposed to it when it transitions to spring. While it may be minimal depending on your location, it still exists and occurs.
