Our new local scene Video straight out of central NJ look for the rx8!
Background:
Created by a group of kids from Central Jersey a little less than a year ago, LocalScene has grown and expanded throughout the tri-state area. Spawning from an idea to capture a documentary type film about the locals in Jersey, we are now much more. Working to shed light upon all the great things that happen everyday in Jersey which go unrecognized. Whether it be the street races/car shows/ motorcycles/ bmx/ fmx/ skateboarders/ local bands, anything we can do to promote the underground locals from Jersey we do it. Originally not intending to grow as big as we have we are now taking everything in stride and expanding everyday. And although hitting some rocky times with crew members dropping out and working full time jobs while maintaining our webpage and filming Gene and Dave have emerged and continued doing what they love. Even though they started with just your basic equipment and a lot of patience we have grown to a small yet stable production company with better equipment and resources. Please take note that we are NOT a car club, nor do we have intentions to be. Gene and Dave met a few years back when being in the same car club called Team VIP located in Central Jersey thats when the magic all began. Back then although we hadn’t thought about it yet we were already interested in doing what we do now. Becoming good friends was just the beginning of what is now LocalScene’s members; and although we used to film a lot of stuff back in the day, have have just recently began focusing on really taking time out, going to shows, filming the racing, checking out skateparks, and talking to companies and bands. We are growing more and more not only in friend volume but as well as our equipment and contacts. Recently teaming up with Pride Performance as their media crew for the ’08 season we are really on the rise. So if you are looking for any kind of producing done for a video or need some film work we do this as a side project/job. If you need to contact us please feel free to message our myspace http://www.myspace.com/njlst

All races were on closed courses road,s no one was hurt in the making. No laws were broken!
P.s. the only car i lost to in the vids was a Acura CL type-s with 220whp(as he said, i think he lied cause he was pulling hard), gutted, and the thing was crazy shot flames, and had two step!
Let me know what you think!

Are you kidding me? Do you even know what closed course means? Throughout this entire video you can see shops/cars right next to where you're STREET RACING. Since when is street racing not illegal?

i said this so it doesn't get deleted, street racing is gay(especially in the rx8), i don't do it that much. but when i do it gets filmed.

check out liextreme.com you don't think this kind of stuff is exciting at times.
live life a little bit.
... i just said i don't do this often, but when i do its on film, beat on my car? Rotaries are suppose to hit 9k. it blows out the carbon. Besides this 3 vids, i redline my car maybe once a day to blow the carbon out and then baby it.
Whatever, you guys all seem like you don't know how to have a little fun, the cars being traded in anyways for a more practical car, (acura tl type-s, altima se-r, Lexus is300/250, audi a4 2.0t)

You'd have to have no adrenal system to not think that street racing was 'exciting', but most people here aren't willing to recklessly (and illegally) endanger themselves and others for a bit of excitement. There are more ways to safely and legally have this kind of 'excitement' that don't involve killing random people on their way to get get groceries. No matter how tough you think you are, no matter how great of a racer you think you are - things happen. Cars and people and animals appear out of nowhere.. tires fail, brakes give out.. clutches blow - and when those things happen on a street with other UNSUSPECTING VICTIMS.. that's just plain stupid.

"street racing is gay" u r all a bunch of tired old men. "oh we cant break the law" waa waa waa. go buy a buick le saber and be tired boring people. being unorganized about it is what gets people hurt. thats whats stupid.

no, being a totally irresponsible jack *** is what gets people hurt. if you can afford to modify your car you can afford to take it to a proper track where you'll have 19824901283741923847 times more fun than just flooring your car in a straight line.
