Out with the lude in with the 8
I just bought my first 8 last month and i love it. I gave up the 92 prelude for it.

nice site xlude. i'm considering joining. i've owned 2 4th gens. one of which i swapped a h22a into.
and with the gas price not coming down any time soon, i might pick up the '91 3rd gen 2.0s from my dad for a DD.
any kit out for a 3rd gen to accept the h22a yet? and how about a hub conversion from 4x100 to 4x114.3 so i can use my old 4th gen SSR rims?
welcome to the 8 club. love to see you here from one ex-luder to the next.

You can drop a h22 in a 3rd gen. If you go to the site and sign up, it is free, you can search all about it. It would be a good idea to have another car cause of all the gas prices going up. I have a sport bike that I drive in the summer and a truck in the winter. So I am good on that. As for the rims I am not sure. I dont plan on going all out on the 8 like I did with the lude. I will get tint and exhaust for now. Maybe in a year or two I will get a body kit. I dont have the money right now anyway.

I liked the rims at the time I had bought them 3 years ago. I never got the money to replace them. All I know is I hate crome rims. I could never keep the clean. They would look like crap all the time.

the only thing i would change with the prelude is the rice wing, rims, and the dragon decals. other than that I dont think it looks that bad... so if you plan on modding the 8, dont get those rims, that wing, or dragon decals and you'll be fine. welcome to the addiction.

It's hilarious that even on that site the common theme of most replys was "don't do that to the rx8?!"
I think it's definitely fine to have gone through personal car stages as you have (and probably a lot of people on here). Picking up such a clean looking rx8 is definitely a step in the right direction! Good luck with the car, and keep us posted on mods (unless it is vinyl, $200 replica body kit, etc. )
