We are painting the caliapers, not the top of the brake pads.

If you paint the brake pads it would look dumb, to say the least.

I bought it in Switzerland, I doubt it can help you

No, you don't need that. But if you want to have the RX-8 written on you calipers, you better have 2 different colors

I plan on doing mine with in a week or so, I just the materials...

Thanks
Finaly, have a look here

Thats the most common way to do it when you order from me i also send 2 pages from the shop manual on how to remove brake pads.

You can use a piece of newspaper rather then taping it all off as well.

I found a caliper painting kit made by Duplicolor. I got it from a Meijers store. You might do a search on Google if it is not at your local discount store. I paid a whole $15 for the kit. It is brush on and it will withstand 500 degrees Fahrenheit. I put a total of 3 coats on each caliper and I also did the wheel hub. I did not have to mask anything using this method all I had to do was to take my time and paint very carefully. This kit also comes with the caliper cleaner spray and a disposeable brush. The only two colors they had were red and yellow.

Another suggestion I might make is to go to your local auto parts store and look into Engine block paint if you want to use spray paint. They have a large selection of colors of spray paints that withstand up to 1200 Degrees F. That's some heat.

Remember, before you start painting, get some caliper cleaner spray, use a wire brush on the rust and paint it. To do the stencils from PoLaK, you have to choose your letter color first so that you paint the first coat in this base color, wait for them to thoroughly dry, then appply the stencils. Next, paint the color you are wishing to make them and follow the directions afterwards to remove the stencils. This process takes a whole day to do all 4 wheels.
