Parting Shots
Havent posted here in forever but i wanted to share a few pictures i took recently for the photo album and in preparation for listing the car for sale... unfortunately, the 8 is the odd car out in what has become a full driveway / garage. Anyway, took the pictures at Clipper Mill in Baltimore, MD in an old, abandoned garage building...Enjoy
BTW, if anyone out there is at all interested in setting up a shoot, i do photography part-part time as a hobby and as a side job occasionally. Just pm me.

Excellent location - I think they're a little over-processed. ALL that detail makes my eye jump around.
Beautiful car.

I actually just traded it in in February. It was listed for sale for about 7 months with no interest at all so my hand was forced a bit. Took about a $2,000 hit for doing it but the keyless entry and computer was all eff'd for some reason (the hazards would come on when you pressed the trunk release button in the car, the trunk would open when you locked it with the key and the alarm would go off randomly while driving - that was fun) so i was kind of ok with it. + i found that there was a leak somewhere along the base of the windshield - nothing major but it was enough to dampen the drivers side carpet after a couple consecutive days of rain. I really didnt feel like fixing any of that so... its gone.
It was a great car but the new ride keeps me distracted :-).
BTW, i have a REALLy nice BB front bumper with oem fogs in it thats for sale as well as an oem strut brace, some oem springs and whats left (i think) of a pair of mazdaspeed coilovers (front right is ok but left is toast - good for spares though).

thanks for the compliments!
i do miss the 8. I think i would still have it if not for all the bs bad luck i had with it. Just a string of really dumb $shi+ that made me feel like i was cursed. First, the dealership that i used to take it to cracked the Mazdaspeed bumper they put on and tried to say that i brought it to them that way. had to argue with them for a month and threaten legal action for them to replace it. Then they installed the Mazdaspeed coilovers incorrectly which led to premature failure. They replaced 2 of them and then 1 of the 2 that was fine ended up breaking (they are the most pathetic things i've ever seen). Went to another dealership that f'd up my security system by giving me the wrong type of fob and screwing up the reprogram... hazards would randomly flash while i was driving and stay on when i pressed the trunk release, the horn would come on while driving, the trunk would pop open when you locked the car... Then they conveniently went out of business without warning so i had no recourse to get the problem fixed under warranty...just a series of things that soured me on the whole deal. Not to mention my neighbor hit me twice within the first 6 weeks of me owning it and prior to that it was showroom new ($4000 miles).
Fantastic car though all around. Although i dont know how i feel about the latest facelift.
The Z is a 180 in terms of driving experience. Nice torque and power no matter where you are in the powerband and it feels solid. Not heavy, but solid. Its crazy because i think its actually lighter than the 8. Seating position is different too because you sit practically on top of the rear wheels. Very nice driving experience though.

Nice pics man, I always loved your car, so simple and clean. We have a local member (kevo on here) who traded his 8 for a beautiful 07' M Coupe. He loves it and tracks it often.
