now THAT track has some elevation change, and nice scenery. WOW. It looks like someone just cut a track through the hills and forest. That must be a fun track to drive on.

that is very true.
And it looked like the track was wet, as if it had rained, or was raining. that is still one thing I have not cared to do, track on a wet track. i will sit a session or two out if it rains at RA if i need to. there is no room for error there. some of our other haunts would be ok, but not RA.

Was 'dewy' - not really wet. I ran about 9/10th in the dry that day, about 7/10ths during the 'damp' sessions.
You're lucky about one thing - I bet you guys can run track days just about all year long?

Dammit, I wish there was a track around here. All there is, is drag strips. I go to this one road, approx. 8.3 miles long (used 'trip' to count) and I go full throttle and whatnot....i guess i consider those days as my track days because i'm going all out. I have the option of moving to Phoenix, any good tracks around there? I know i'll search it up later, but anyone know any off hand? If not, i'm gonna start buying lottery tickets like every texan, and try to win so i can build my own damn track which will..probably never happen.

dmp, what a fun looking track. Looks like a mountain run without motorcycles and bicycles running the opposite direction and locals throwing nails and screws in the curves.
Beautiful photos! Were they taken by a friend or the track pro? Dang nice! Thanks for sharing. Now you have me all pumped for Barber in Nov.

Thanks Silver - I had two friends taking pics for me that day. One just got his camera a few days prior - actually had not USED it yet even. Those pics are in the first set. I think he did quite well!
The second/later images as indicated were taken by forum member dv/dt - he's got quality-of-product enough to be a professional photographer, however elects to 'feed his family' instead; He does photography for the love the art.

I was driving - Two of my friends were taking photos.
Some were taken with a Canon Rebel XT and a Canon 70-300 f/4-5.6IS, others with a Canon 20D and 70-200 f/2.8 IS.
