I really like to post process my images , especially night shots. As for HDR I really love the effect but I'm also new to it so I cant really get as pure of a image that I want especially at night. That was my first attempt at photography after couple months break. As for FWD burnout.... he's a dork lol but it was still cool get together and decent photoshoot.
In general though I've found that the more pictures I take at an event and the more exposures I have of each shot, the more data I have to work with when I post process later, the overprocessed look is cool and can really show off some unique textures but if you take more exposures of each shot it may help you make post processing easier. I've had some shots that just would not process right when I tried it over and over again I realized that the program I was using just did not have enough data to make the shot work.
BTW, what program are you using for your HDR processing?
