the strakes look really classy on the silver....looks like it is molded in.

Great stuff

Great pic, I am anxiously waiting for my silver, any day now, and those pics look awesome. Glad I too have ordered the strakes, they will come in some time after the car though.

Any more pics?

That is an excellent question... yes how and 'how much'? Thanks.

I have so many parts just waiting around for my car to arrive, maybe I can "build" my own RX-8 before actual delivery. Also, sidemarkers where on my list.

Last but not least, very nice car, pmacwill, congrats. :D

Ok, that picture decided me... I'm getting strakes, when I first saw em I thought they were no big deal, but now... they are a must have.

I have a feeling I'm gonna be updating this car for a while... cause I also want the mazda speed side skirts but not the front or the spoiler. I like the apearance package front air dam. That and the clear side markers. And tinted windows. And anything else I find I like along the way.

edit:
Perhaps the heahlight "eyelids" too...

I bit the bullet and ordered them from rotaryextreme.com before he started talk about a discount for a group buy. I must admit, even though the price was steep, he got them here quickly. They are completely necessary on the silver. The amber was an eye sore.

The door sills, side indicators and strakes weren't tough to install at all. I noticed that if you follow the instructions for what vent holes to screw the strakes onto the lower strake ends up a tiny bit lower than the paper cutout. I used the holes they recommended and ignored the paper cutout. I used a laser leveler to make sure they were exacly parallel with the lines of the car.

another - sorry for the finger smudge near the front wheel.

Very nice! Are the strakes paintable? They would look good painted in any body color.

Lookin' good!

How do you like the red/black combo with Silver? I was thinking I'd like a black/black with Silver, but the red/black looks pretty good too in those pics.

Clear indicator and strakes are indeed very nice additions to the sunlight silver.

I couldn't possibly be happier with the color combo. The only thing that really gets on my nerves so far is the gas cap. It is tethered but there isn't a holder on the inside of the gas door so it hangs against the side of the car if you aren't standing there holding it. I'm going to have to macgyver a solution.

Also the passenger door sticks a little when shutting it. It doesn't always close completely. They said they wanted to see if the rubber broke in a little or if it was a pressure issue before they started adjusting things. I think there was 1 more thing that I thought was stupid, but I can't rememember now.

besides the obvious (no power passenger seat, no under exterior mirror lights, all the jde perks we didn't get, etc)

Congratulations, great car, nice pics! Clear sidemarkers definitely a plus.

I lived in Maryland for over twenty years, these pics remind me how lush and green it was there (lots of rain though).
