OEM stuff, and inexpensive when you consider they come painted in factory colors. IMHO I think it looks pretty nice with the factory aero kit...kinda balances the profile of the car with the rear aero flares. Here's a thread with photos of a yellow with them installed.
https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards

A white one in this thread, though the angle is bad so you can't really see them that well (6th post down): https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards
This one is a much better view on white (7th post down): https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...=splash+guards

They're very easy to install...just need a screwdriver and a dremel with a cutting disk to trim away some of the rubber splash guard beneath the rocker panel. Took me less than an hour to do both sides on mine.

It says for vehicles with 18" rims only. You think they would work with my 19's??

I find it pretty funny that anyone is accusing the OP of being unimaginative and copying whitey. A car is for your own enjoyment. If those are the wheels he likes, why shouldn't he buy them? because some other guy has the same wheels? give me a break. Whitey didn't design and manufacture them, he bought them from a company that mass produces wheels to appeal to a broad range of people. Hell, he probably found out about them by seeing them on another car.

None of you are original or creative when it comes to modding your cars unless you're making things for yourself. Which you're not.

Ok..... Come on... put yourself in my shoes. If you came across a set of rims that retail for 1600 + 600 for the new tires for $800.00 would you not jump on that deal in a heartbeat?????? I mean really, come on now....

Give the guy a break. He got a seriously good deal.

Whitey, your car is still smokin' hot. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

It's not that I have anything against you personally rx8guy, I guess it just irritates me more than it would most people. I think 7andan8 said it best with "same city courtesy". I can't blame you for buying the wheels at a good deal....but would I have bought those wheels had I been in your shoes?......definitely not since I would have known that there was another white 8 in town with those exact wheels. One of the reasons I bought them was because they were fairly rare among 8's.....unlike the Axis Hiro (another good looking wheel). But anyway, like I said, it's nothing against you personally.......it's just irritating.

Oh and yes, you're still a "kid" at 21........ hell I'm still a kid at 26.

One vote here for still being a kid at 45!

rx8guy, when you find your good deal on the black wheels, I'll buy the ones you have now! Whitey that would be cool eh? Just to see them on another car at the Dragon but nowhere else.

Yeah I can deal with that. I think VA is PLENTY far enough away. Course you would've been allowed anyway because you're in a VR.

Shouldn't be a problem. There are several club members with rim sizes up to 20" in this thread with the front guards intalled. Might depend on the tire height, but you can get 'em to work. Just have stock 18s myself, so YMMV, but if they can do it, why can't you?
