Pics of red turn signal lights/bulbs?

Anyone have any shots of red rear turn signals using red bulbs or LEDs? I'm thinking of going this route. And yes, red rear turn signals are legal. Calif. Vehicle Code states red or amber for rear and amber or white for front.

I posted in the Exterior forum, but didn't get any pics. I'm thinking filament bulbs for now since I don't want to deal with resistor/wire splicing. Pics of some bulbs I'm looking at are in that thread. https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/red-turn-signal-lights-bulbs-190128/

Thanks!

* Update (3/5/10): bought some Polarg bulbs and installed the red one on the left side and left the right side amber. I took pics of each during the day. I want to see what they look like at night. The red is definitely not as bright and not as dark red as I hoped. Might try darker red bulbs. So to be continued...

I would provide pics but I'm like 1200 miles away from where my car is, sooo, im not thinking thats gonna happen anytime soon. You can ask guys like Red_Fox, Renesis_SE3P, and probably Reverend up here and they'll attest that its hella bright and somewhat annoying lol.

I have the exact same bulbs in all of my tail light sockets. I don't know if the color matters or not, but while the red bulbs work OK as tail/brake lights, the amber ones are in no way as bright as the filament bulbs they replaced. They do the job, but I'd like to have brighter turn signals, especially in bright sunlight. Haven't yet found the best replacement and frankly, I spent already enough on LED bulbs so I won't experiment with buying some new ones without actually knowing that the replacements will be just as bright as the conventional bulbs (in other words, I'd want to see them first).

Haha, yeah it sucks but oh well, I can't do a whole lot if my car is in california while I'm in montana.

I heard their new bulbs, the HP ones I think, are brighter than a standard filament bulb. Unfortunately, I don't have any first hand experience with them.

Yeah, that's possible but 50 dollars for a pair (plus shipping) is a bit rich for my blood. That'd be over 100 bucks for just the turn signal bulbs... ain't gonna happen. These prices are insane.

I have rear VLED turn signals. Matches perfect with the stock strake LEDs already there. I'll try to snag some pics this weekend.

Looks pretty good, but it needs a resistor.

Splicing and crimping required.
