Pictures from DFW/Austin/etc. gathering in Austin Tx
Well it was a gorgeous day, got to the meeting place about 30 minutes early in the rent a beast and slowly but surely other people finally started to show up, by the time we all hit the road there was about 30-40 people and over a dozen cars in attendance, we broke up into groups and went and had some grub at Oasis on Lake Travis, then the group seperated leaving me stranded and the bill 25 bucks short. (argh, but it's all good, you guys that split from Oasis owe me one). I got to meet a lot of people from the board and a few others from out of town and all in all I had a pretty good time as Golf (aka Parmer8) was kind enough to drive me around the rest of the day. There will probably be other pictures etc. surfacing here and at www.texasrxs.org, and I never got to tell Aggietiff and the other girl (sorry, forgot your name..doh) it was nice to meet them and maybe we can all hook up again some time I have lots of pictures so bear with me, there were some awesome cars in attendance including 2 gorgeous Fds, a 2nd gen convertible, a turboed Rx8, plus 2 yellow Rx8s that really made me miss mine :D

last ones, yep, we even had a 'stang there, plus a miata The owner of the stang's father has an 8 and the owner of the miata also has a 7 so we figure it was ok for them to tag along :D would have been nice had the miata owner not bailed on me and left me at Oasis, but it's ok, I'm not bitter :D
edit: I should mention there were girls involved, might be why I got bailed on :D

i wish i could've made it.. if you notice, i'm posting this at 3am cst which is probably the longest i've been on the forums all day (20 minutes or so).
Great pictures though.. i still feel bad for having to miss this one, even if we are having family health issues right now.

Bummed I missed the events
I was really looking forward to meeting everyone from DFW and going on a nice drive, but unfortunately my partner's grandfather lost his long battle with cancer yesterday.
Thanks for posting all the pictures, so I could at least experience the day that way.

Ms. Scalli and I are getting ready to roll out in just a little bit. I am a little hungover from our great night out on 6th Street. Kudos to Chris, Jackie, and everybody that pulled this altogether. To me it was flawless. I loved it. Everybody was sooooo fun and we have such a great group of people that I am very thankful to get to be a part of it.
As Jackie told me last night that it looks like this will be a yearly event. :D Needless to say I plan on being there. I think by the time word gets around as to just how well this went it will be even bigger next year.
We had 22 cars I think counting the few that had to catchup after the photo shoot. The Oasis was so incredible. What a view I am really looking forward to seeing those pics.
Now if my head would quit pounding it will be a perfect day....

You Austin folks have some great roads to play on! Lime Creek totally rocked and 1431 was nice too. The view from the Oasis was beautiful and I didn't want to leave but everyone was getting burned quickly from the sun. We took 281 home which IMO the view was worth the speed traps. I need to go to Austin more often!!!
Wish I had made it to the mall for pics, but you know how that goes. Nice to meet some of you folks and put faces with names. As you can see Klar, Betty is back and I led the drive home. Believe it or not, we females (and DFW 8ers in general) do know how to drive
