Sucks you got pulled over, its weird he pulled in front of you rather then behind you.

Thursday morning i got pulled over doing 80 in a 50, The cop liked the car, he was cool and wrote me a summons for obstruction of view due to my Little Trees air freshener on the rear view.

The reason i was behind him was because he pulled over the other RX8 i was following to the meet as well. He pointed for me to get over, then went after nate. and i followed them to a stop.

Then you can argue successfully that he was clocked at that speed.

Radar can only pick up one object, and that's the fastest.

If you don't present it diplomatically the judge may think you were a punk and racing this guy and make you pay it anyhow.

Reminds me of when I was a punk kid. Following this girl down the highway and the trooper waves us both over. She pulled over and I pulled out and nailed it. The cop stayed with her and I bailed off the next exit and back-roaded it for a while. Sometimes you get lucky - sometimes not.

TopGear.. sorry you didnt get to make it Sunday... Nate even said that his speedo was not reading as high as the cop wrote him for.. Next time ask the see what he clocked you at, they have to show you proof if you ask. Just go to court and get them to reduce it so you wont get points. Or better yet ask for a PJC they should definately give it to you.

Well just to update everyone on my Ticket status...

I talked to a lawyer today and he will be able to change my ticket into a "non-moving violation" I will have to take an online traffic school, as well as pay a lawyer fee of $360, which includes the ticket and court fee's. This will not raise my insurance, and will not put any points on my license. I will also not have to go to court.

You could have done that yourself. They always wave the first ticket if you take traffic school.

"non-moving violation"

How much do you wanna bet he lied to you?

I told you it was all about the money. Somebody's getting paid either way. All done in the name of "safety".

Glad you were able to get out of the points on your license. Better to pay up front than have it follow you around for years.

Could be worse my wife got caught in heavy traffic going the same speed as everyone else it was a 45 and she was doing 50 like everyone else, then for a couple of blocks there was a 35 limit and that cost us $260.
I respect Police and everything but I feel like pulling people over for speeding is pure BS and praying on hard working tax payers. My friend was knocked off my push bike and out cold for a long time suffered whip lash and was badly bruised he is lucky he was not killed. The woman that hit him drove into the exit only lane of a hotel and straight into the bike he flew over the hood and landed in a bloody mess, she did not even get a ticket.
