Mazdaspeed Rx-8 Professionally Filmed
Incase anyone is interested there are a few videos on streetfire.net that feature my Mazdaspeed 8 and they are all PROFESSIONALLY FILMED/ EDITED using camera mounts/camera cars etc...and HD versions are available. Two of the three videos have been out since July, and the other was just posted 2 days ago and gives a really dark spin to the 8, tearing up empty Philadelphia streets. A video of profesionally timed runs was also taken and resulted in remarkably low times of:
0-60: 5.23 seconds
0-80: 8.2
Here are the links to the videos:

the reason your 0-60 is like that is because your speedometer is off(tires size).... in 2nd gear at 9k rpms you should be at ~67 mph your car was at said 100kmh or 62 mph so(62/67=.925 then .925x60= 55) thats equals a 7.5% off speedo......my car goes goes 0-55 mhp is 5.2 sec too im sure...

that makes sense, but there is no speedo error and if so very little because a timing device was used that does not take into consideration tire rotation. At 5.9 seconds it had already reached 66 mph I highly doubt that the error would be anywhere near 6 mph considering the tire size is only slightly different from stock and still on 18 in rims.

I just checked car and drivers review of the 8 and they said the gearing was: 65 mph top of second gear @9000 rpms, if you watch the video very closely again and consider the camera angle which is off to the left mounted on the window the angle is going to be very slightly decieving, meaning what looks to be around 9100 rpms you will notice that the speedo is reading 105 kph...105kph / 1.615 (properly converted) = 65.015 meaning close to 0 speedometer error!

its a goal i never said i would be able to pull it off first time...ive been racing quite a bit and have taken other cars to the strip before...just not the 8, im upgrading to 295 section rear tires after fender shaving that should cut down time off the line

Why would you go that wide in the rear? youre not making any major horses with the mods you have. Invest in some lighter wheels to keep rotational mass down before going with wider tires for no reason. If you plan to stay N/A tires that wide wont do much for you. Cut some weight first.

I really like the video clip for no. 3 "the assault"
And really nice way to finish off the clip with a drift...
Nice musics, nice camera technique and awesome effects and transition from one to another... it'd be nicer if some scenes have the original roar from the rotary..

all scenes have the "roar" from the rotary, only a few select shots are slightly distorted, but origional sound is kept. Thats the k & n ram and turbo xs straight pipe/catback at work

3 of the 4 videos were clearly against forum rules and their links removed. the last one i left is a bit more ambiguous as to the speeds and type of road you are on.
your other thread i closed due to the multiple posting.
